FAWLTY TOWERS S1E6 "The Germans" - Full Watch Along

Fawlty Towers - Season 1, Episode 6: "The Germans" Fawlty Towers is a British television sitcom written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, originally broadcast on BBC Two in 1975 and 1979. Two series of six episodes each were made. The series is set in Fawlty Towers, a dysfunctional fictional hotel in the English seaside town of Torquay in Devon. The plots centre on the tense, rude and put-upon owner Basil Fawlty (Cleese), his bossy wife Sybil (Prunella Scales), the sensible chambermaid Polly (Booth), and the hapless and English-challenged Spanish waiter Manuel (Andrew Sachs). They show their attempts to run the hotel amidst farcical situations and an array of demanding and eccentric guests and tradespeople.

I had forgotten how many racial slurs the major threw around. I was watching these on a youtube playlist, but this one was recently taken down, now I know why 😂

Hey Coby, I loved, loved, loved that episode! I was literally howling 🤣 John Cleese was such an amazing physical comedian in his younger days. His flailing legged, goose step walk reminds me of a character he did character on Monty Python’s Flying Circus, called The Minister of Silly Walks. I’m torn between this one, and episode three. Which did you like better? And BTW; don’t mention the war. 🤫
