Hello everyone! Back from the tour so back to fun facts posts, and this was quite a fun episode. Our most-requested guest finally made an appearance on the podcast and hopefully the episode didn't let y'all down.

Some alternate titles for this episode were "Young, Horny, and Bored," "What! Too, Vanilla?," and "Geoff's Throats." But I like how the title we went with sounds like the title of a kid's book or TV show episode.

Facetiming Geoff to make sure he was available to record was the first time I got to "meet" Rory, which was very fun. Even through an iPad screen she was extremely adorable, and then I finally got to meet her in person at the Houston Waterparks show last month.

And that was actually why Geoff was only in the second half of the episode; when we called to record, he was still out doing stuff with Chloe and Rory so we decided to do the first half without him due to time constraints. So don't be mad at me and Awsten!! Geoff was doing dad things, it's a good reason!!! I like the structure it gave the episode in the end, having the second half be just one long weird story.

It was quite a story to be Geoff's introduction to the podcast. A beautiful result of us not reading the stories beforehand and therefore having no idea how they shake out. When I relistened to the episode the other day, I was actually thinking about how well-written and creative the story was and shocked myself by not giving it a 5/5 in the episode. Maybe I should revise my official rating? It's one of the best stories we've read on this godforsaken show.

Back when we recorded this, Geoff was reading my book "Balam, Spring" which is why he gave me a shoutout for helping him learn how to read. I have no idea if he ever finished it.

And here's a little Patreon-exclusive preview for the next episode: it's bluntly titled "The Worst Episode" because I accidentally chose a batch of the worst stories we've ever read for the show all together in the same episode. So look forward to that.

Bye! Thanks for listening and being good sweet patrons!
