why’d you have to remove the prefix? so many creators making it so difficult to access content we are already paying for, it’s already annoying that we have to download it, use an app or extension to transfer from .rar, and THEN view it :(

Because of automated dataminers mostly. Apparently Patreon's security is pretty lax. I've seen other creators struggle with it as well.

Basically, this is because the creators have to host the content. Patreon and other sites are making it harder to host NSFW content, and, these files sometimes are huuuuge, so they need to use Google Drive, MEGA, or other services to host the content. Also, the splitting up thing is to reduce people reposting content or trying to get it for free. This is probably the least annoying way to do it. Besides, if you are on a PC, you just legit copy and paste a link, then download a file...installing Genshin or other games has more steps than this lol. Calm down dude.

This will do nothing against actual subscribers re-posting the content. Any person willing to do that will just copy the merged link and plant it into their piracy forum of choice or even upload the data directly, since the image sets are pretty small, typically <200MB.
