i really like this two-pic sequence since it works as a compelling (dare i say haunting) horror story no matter which order they go in!

I love it! It makes you wonder like does she change form at night like a werewolf type thing or perhaps going in deeper perhaps she was kidnapped, killed, and brought back to life by a Necromancer 🤔

If we're posting theories, mine is that the girl was kidnapped and stuffed until she couldn't take it anymore, so that in death she's still driven by gluttony
