Fate/Zero is widely praised in the anime community, but is a bit more divisive in the Fate fandom. You can kinda tell this was written by a different author, because the series does really try to be super dark and edgy, which feels a bit excessive at times. It does get annoying when people praise how mature Fate/Zero is and trash Fate/Stay Night for being “childish”

On a side note, they recently just released a new servant based on Dante’s Inferno in Fate/Grand Order, the mobile game, and the original book started selling out like crazy in Japan LMAO. They even advertise older books in some stores as the source material for their favorite servants from Fate
