Fun reaction. And I think you're onto something about the writer director's thesis..particularly because his first movie before this tracks very close to what you're saying. Yeah they're changing things again (when are they not) so I had to manually search Paul today even though I have a years long message thread with him. Also, I'm not getting DM or comment notifications again so that's fun

this movie is based on a hoax titled "Ever Dream This Man?" from like 17 years ago. Officially it has nothing to do with the sam raimi project that was going to happen but like....... its in this movie and if you've read the original hoax its 1 to 1 the same with the added information the hoax was created as guerilla marketing just to eventually make a movie out of it you can't ignore it's the same thing.
