I think this was the first proper introduction you get to mystic eyes. Medusa (Rider) had the mystic eyes of petrification in Fate/Stay Night but it wasn’t mentioned directly

There also is 2 more episodes if you were interested: 9: Future Gospel (1h 30min) 10: Future Gospel - Extra Chorus (30min) These are side stories that adapt books 9 and 10, not part of the main plot but are good if you want more of the world and characters. I wanted to wait and see if you liked the series before recommending it
