I’m pretty sure the implication with the novels is not that Jinshi wrote them, but that he got them from the same publisher as the books Maomao wanted to distribute (though probably more of a narrative that would entice interest in reading and writing than the content of the ones she had lol)

i agree with the rewatch being so good. i pick up so many breadcrumbs and things behind the scene throughout season 1 watching you react to it that i was so impressed how many things i missed
