Jiji has been possessed by The Evil Eye and is on a rampage to destroy Momo and Okarun before turning on the rest of humanity -- can the two of them team up to take him down? Well, maybe...but first: We have to take care of the Mongolian Death Worm, right?!

This episode definitely proved why I love DanDaDan as a series and why I'm so excited to see what this season gives us!

I LOVED this episode so much! One of the things I've really been wanting to see since the beginning was Okarun and Momo working more like a team, and both of them showing equally their strengths; and, sure, we have sort of gotten that, in the sense that neither of them has ever been completely passive, but I do think this is the first time that Okarun took the initiative so decisively and he wasn't only following Momo's lead. I don't know, I love seeing both of the in their elements. Yes!! Momo having to figure out how to save both Okarun and Jiji, and Turbo Granny though. They all play their roles, trusting that the other will accomplish their part of the plan, and I love seeing it. The use of color in this show is something that I have already praised in the previous cour/season, but it bears repeating; because that slow change as the tide of the fight was changing from Jiji's purple to Okarun's red is so good. One thing that I found interesting is that the volcano is about to erupt now. See, after the reveal of the Mongolian Death Worm, I had assumed that the Kito family had gotten everything mixed up and mistaken, and the volcano had never been that big of an issue... but seems like that is not quite the case. I have no clue was going on there, but I like how everything is a little more complicated than it first seems. With every passing episode, I'm more and more convinced that Turbo Granny secretly loves Momo and Okarun, and is doing everything in her power to protect them; if for no other reason than those big teary eyes when she saw Okarun come back for her (yes, I'm weak to the big, teary eyes xD) and the way she sneaked into the trip in the first place *lol* Too bad Okarun's plan ran into quite the little hiccup.

As someone who likes my cryptids somewhat realistic i enjoyed that it was just mostly an animal... although it does stray quite far from "real" Mongolian Death Worm lore. But hey, Nessie was an intergalactic mercenary that could spew out pressurized water at such a high speed it became like laser weapon of mass destruction... so this was quite close. :P The lightning in the volcanic eruption is a real thing, there are some really "metal" looking pictures and clips out there.

This episode was so much fun! I love watching Momo and Okarun work together! I love that idea that this is the first time Okarun has taken action and not been as passive! I love Momo getting the spotlight as well in trying to use her strategizing and strengths in this fight, too! The color is soooo good – especially when the focus was on Okarun and Jiji, I agree! The idea of the volcano and the Kito family and not knowing what all was going on and who’s telling the truth in all this - I know I’ll have more to say this coming week, but the show builds up the mystery and “case” very well to keep us guessing! And yes, Turbo Granny is our ultimate tsundere in this because every show needs one! 😛I thinks he’s developed a soft spot for them as well! Her big teary eyes were SO CUTE! I was hook line and sinker in to save her in that moment! Just…of COURSE Okarun had to goof…well, I guess we’ll see how it goes! Thank you for the comment and kind words!
