HF Patch for Koikatsu v2.10 / コイカツ！自動更新 (Patreon)

Content

A patch for Koikatu! and Koikatsu Party with all free updates, fan-made English translations and essential mods. It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game.

HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately.

All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding. HF Patch can also repair many common issues, try it if you have issues.

Downloads / ダウンロード

Downloading via torrent is recommended. The patch is larger than the standard mega download limit, so you will have to wait to finish downloading (unless you have an account). Torrent is also much less likely to become corrupted and can be easily restarted.

WARNING: This release has some known issues. After installing HF Patch, follow these instructions:

Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ. It was made for the Steam release (Koikatsu Party) but most of it applies to the Japanese release as well.

If you need any help, check the wiki, visit the Koikatsu Discord server and ask in the #help channel, or ask in comments under this post.

Patcher changes / 変更  

  • Consolidated game patches and translations into single options.
  • Improved how patches and translations are installed - cleaner installation folder afterwards and fixed collisions with official KK Party translations.
  • Fixed "Access denied" errors under some circumstances, preventing proper installation (explorer is now restarted during installation).
  • Fixed KKVMD custom config not being set correctly in some circumstances.
  • Remove KoikatuVR if it's installed in KK Party (install the KK Party VR addon instead).
  • Launchers are now named the same as the original lanuchers in KK and KKP, launchers with the wrong name are removed now.
  • Remove output logs and similar files that aren't necessary anymore.
  • Removed Hongfire link (RIP).

Yes, it's correct. If your torrent client can't load it you can get the torrent file from the mega folder.

We have porting heelz and pushup in mind, but currently don't have any time frame for when it will happen. Check settings, try disabling more AA, if all fails open Main Camera object in runtime editor and turn off the effects you don't like.

Currently, there's a bug with how mods are loaded if you've had hardmods installed before. This is likely the cause, you can wait for a fix or you can fix it by removing the hardmod files from your abdata folder, check output_log for messages about unity3d files that failed to load. Alternatively you could make a clean installation of the game so that there are no 3rd party files inside your abdata folder.

is strange. i download previous patchers and all work fine. i only use this patcher this time, no other mods but all character heads invisible? i try patching many times and nothing work. disable antivirus, no mods, just missing faces everything else fine. I can return to 2.9 and faces are back

There is a known issue where if you had hardmods installed before their remaining files that aren't cleaned up will cause this sort of issues. You can install previous hf patch to go back and wait for the next version, or if you know what to look for you can manually remove the hardmod files.

Hello, after installing the patch all I see after select "next" from the bedroom is a blank screen. I'm using the BetterRepack and Kplug. I'm assuming the BetterRepack has the hard mods you were referring to in the post. If that's the case, then how do I fix it? Would overwriting with the previous version of the patch work?

I installed this patch and now I can't change back hair on male or female characters and half of them are losing the back of their hair. I tried everything and it still happens.

Thank you very much for the update. but I have some problems ... as some characters do not load part of the hair, the eyes, and since I have updated the game it does not go fast gives me performance drops 37 - 60 fps counting. I'm not fast as in the 2.9 update this in the H scenes and the rest is a problem. Anyway hopefully it will be solved soon, thank you very much for taking your time and updating the game. Greetings and hopefully have a solution.

Go to character maker and look at right side of the screen, there's an eye selector. The ID here matches the ID in the config, same with others I believe.

I just got the DLC but the translations are all weird for the new additions. All the old content is the normal English, but the new stuff pops up as Japanese first before changing to a pretty bad translation. Is this the way it is? or did I mess up?

I have a problem where in Character creator, the values of my characters attributes are not changing when I the arrows for the finer details, so I've had to resort to manually putting in values.

When I run the .exe to install the patch, it brings up an error prompt saying the program can't run on my PC. This occurs no matter the directory I run it from or if I run it as an admin or not, and on my Windows 10 PC, at that. Any way around this that you know of?

Make sure your download isn't corrupted. If you downloaded through a torrent then check file integrity in your torrent client. Just to be sure, the game itself does run fine, right? If the files are good then tell me what exactly the error says.

Make sure your patch files are not corrupted. If the game has no mods on it, check if it's downloaded correctly as well. If everything looks correct I would suspect something about the system itself.

Hi, First I want to thank you for all the amazing work you do on these patches. But I seem to be having a problem... My previous character cards loaded just fine but I can't seem to get outfit data to work at all. New or old, I'll put old ones in the proper folder but they wont show up also when I try making new outfits the save files disappear when I exit the client. So not entirely game breaking but annoying! I installed the new patches and removed the KKUS.dll files but no luck, any idea on other fixes? Hi there i did everything but when i build class i have 25 girls in 2-1 but other classes have only 5 desks i have two dlc installed in correct order.I don't remember having this problem on my first instalation this happened after second clean reinstall.

Ok managed to fix this all i had to do was launch the game before instaling hf patch i have 25 desks in all classes.But i'm little worried if afterschool is installed properly since i still don't have maximize class registration toggle in options.

Keep getting the issue where the game hangs up when going to new day. Updated all the plugins listed in the top post but keep getting this error. [Error : Unity Log] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object Stack trace: ChaControl+c__Iterator8.MoveNext () UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine.InvokeMoveNext (IEnumerator enumerator, IntPtr returnValueAddress) any ideas?

Did you let it remove all old mods? Try reinstalling hf patch and follow the further install instructions in the post. If that doesn't help then send me your output_log.txt after trying to load the game.

Can you send the save file in which it happens? Save just before the date so it starts when I click next day. You can send it in a PM to keep it private. The saves are inside userdata/save.

Excuse me, in the previous patch, where you create a character, in the "pose" option there were several animations as well as changing clothes, simulating a fall etc, after I install this patch they are gone, could you tell me where I can get those animations back? Sorry for the inconvenience.

They were removed in maker because the pose menu took too long to load. You can restore them by getting the add pose mod from here https://mega.nz/#F!upYGBTAZ!S1lMalC33LYEditk7GwzgQ?HlIzXCzR You have to remove [DeathWeasel][KK]Character Maker Poses v1.0.zipmod when doing this or you will have duplicate poses and possibly other issues.

Hey! I'm having an issue in the character creator where when I click load/save/delete clothing data, nothing shows up. This goes for both the clothing data I have from this version and earlier versions. I've installed the updates to the files you mentioned above, and deleted KKUS. My clothing data is showing up in the coordinates folder, as well as in game and in studio, just not in the character creator.

I seem to be having a unique problem so far, not sure if it's my old system that's on the verge of death, or a incomplete download that's tweaking things out. Once I've selected all the things and it's preparing to install, once it's about to start it closes my explorer.exe process and freezes the installer and makes it unresponsive. Anyone report a problem like that? Or should I delete and download the HF patch and try again?

Redownload the game from a good source and do a fresh install. Either your download is corrupted or the files are dodgy.

So, I installed the patch (default install) on Koikatsu Party, applied the fix from the known issues section, launched the game, but all the tabs in the settings menu are blank. EDIT: this is on a fresh install of the game.

Open it in 7zip and browse until you find the setup folders, then copy their contents into your game directory, replacing files when asked (it'll be obvious when you find the right files). After you are done reinstall hf patch and follow the post-install instructions in the post again.

After updating the game and doing the performance fixes, if I play the game in fullscreen it's incredibly blurry and the graphics seem to drop in quality? Also the browse folder sidebar is hyper zoomed in and almost unreadable. I assume this is just a setting I need to change somewhere but I have no clue where to look.

When installing the patch you have to turn off English translations. You can switch to Chinese by starting the initial settings launcher and selecting language at the bottom.

I can no longer select Tops and Bottoms options in the character creation portion. As in when I click on a icon for a top, nothing happens. The icon doesn't get selected. Also the Tops and Bottoms doesn't show the name of the current clothing the character is wearing, it stays blank. Also, I can click on bras and other options but when I select a piece, my character doesn't change into that piece.

Make sure you get the 3.0.2 version, this one is outdated. You can use a torrent client like qBittorrent or uTorrent to download the magnet link, just paste it into the client's `File > Add link` menu.
