Not gonna lie, This patch had a lot more in it then I thought! Great work Marco! The install went relatively smoothly after getting everything downloaded. I did have to deal with mediafire's nasty quirk of putting the files into a .zip file when you try and download everything at once. Solved this by downloading everything one by one so easy fix. but still a very easy install!

Hello, I meet pb of hashs at the installation (source mediafire). Has anyone ever had this kind of problem? PS: recently I put all my content +18 in a veracrypt file. Hello, Im having a problem with downloading. I can download HS2-HF_Patch-2.4.zip But I don't see an executable in any of the directories. I see the same items as shown on the Github link. I am obviously doing something wrong, but I don't know what. Can I please get pointed in the right direction?

There is only source code for the patch on github. You have to download the compiled version from the patreon post or from the torrent link on github.

So I have done this before with Koikatsu on the Steam Deck. Runs fine and everything. With this though, I decided to go with PC since it's way easier to do so. It is a brand new PC so I don't want to fiddle with things too much. However, Windows is preventing me from running the .exe file that you get when you download and extract the zip files. How do I go about preventing Windows from blocking the installer from booting up? I'm guessing but maybe run with administrator privileges? Will that even work?

You have to use the translation included in the patch. It should be equivalent.

Something HAS to be wrong here. I have downloaded all the files, several times from both mediafire and pixeldrain, and also the torrent. But almost everytime it the exe file tries to verify the files before installing, one of the 12 files has a hash error and says its corrupted. It can say file 3 so i delete and redownload it, than itll say file 9 so Ill do the same thing, than it says its file 3 AGAIN. I can understand once or twice, but there is no way almost every file is corrupted or becomes corrupted on every single download attempt. And the one time it did verify all the files and started installing, there was a write error. I have done the KKP HF patch before with 0 problems so I have no idea whats happening.

The drive im installing to is only about 2 months old and running chkdsk says theres no problems or errors. Would it really fail that fast or would there be a different piece of hardware that could cause the problem? Edit: Shouldnt have doubted you. Tried my other SSD and worked with no problems. Now I just need to figure out whats wrong with the original drive. Cheers!

chkdsk by itself doesn't necessarily find hardware issues. Use CrystalDiskInfo or a similar tool instead.

I have no idea what you're asking. If you want to load some specific card and get a mod missing warning then run update through the game launcher. Make sure you have latest HF Patch installed first.

I have downloaded the patch, I believe, successfully. When I run the .exe file I get to the point in the installation when it asks for the for the path to the HS2 dx game. I can't get by this point. I have tried every possibility including opening the game directory that indicates the game is in C:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\HoneySelect2 Libido DX. The Wizard repies that the file cannot be located in that folder. What am I doing wrong?

I apologize if this question has been asked but I’m kind of a noob when it comes to patches. I recently installed the 2.6 version and the game runs fine, however there are a lot of features (like face types for example). That don’t work. I noticed in the start up menu that there’s a section for updating the patch and it’s 300 gb. I’ve never done this before and I’m wondering if it’s necessary and/or what it does? Last thing, if I install it, can it be on external hard drive or does it have to be in a certain location? Thanks!

You can update the standard sideloader modpack if you get any mod missing warnings when loading character cards. You don't need the studio or maps modpacks. You can move the mods folder by creating a symlink to it, look up how to make one on your OS online.

If I may, I have one more question. Updating solved the “missing files problem” but for the facial types, a lot of them have this weird reddish tint on the face or they’re overly red or white. Some say not to use the cards but others do not. I’d like to use all the available face types but some the colors just aren’t natural skin color. Is there a reason for this?

In HS2 most of the custom face types are made for use with specific character cards and won't look right outside of using very specific slider and color values.

The patch doesn't come with any VR mod, only the official VR module. You have to have the official VR installed before installing the patch for it to work. If you used a VR mod then you'll have to install it again after using the patch.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but is there a way to optimize graphics with graphics mod. I run a pretty good, not great laptop and have some trouble with fps. I’ve read that disabling graphics mod helps but that has issues with some of the other mod skins and so forth. Just hoping to get best performance while minimizing hit to graphics? Thanks

Sorry, I replied thinking this was HoneyCome not HS2. Network features for HS2 were shut down and no longer work. You can still use sharing websites like bepisdb or discord servers to get and share cards.

Sorry, I don't know what is included in repacks. The patches are mainly meant for modding official game releases. You can see a list of all included plugins and their versions on github.

It's the Steam version and I created the cards with the previous version of the HF patch. I made a new character card and it seems like they have the personality I gave them. Also, I would like to mention that the characters have their original personality whenever I do an H scene with them.

Redownload the files it complains about and try again. Your drive might be dying, causing file corruptions. If you have a recent Intel CPU, you might have a bad one which causes random crashes and file corruptions, google for more info.

So, I accidentally deleted half of my copy of hs2 and emptied my recycle bin before noticing. Now that I’ve redownloaded the game, when trying to install the patch it immediately goes to not responding. I can select the folder i’ve put the game into, and i can start the download, but it pretty much instantly stops working. Is there any fix for this, or am i doing something wrong?

I had the Steam version with DX pre installed. I then used this patch. I clicked of the all achievements option and all perks option. There are a lot of achievements still in a separate list that say "get" next to them. What i am not doing correctly?

IIRC you have to click the get to actually get the benefits, the unlock only unlocks it. You may need to click the unlock buttons in the room menu and then exit the game and restart for the options to be fully unlocked.

Edit the character and in the body section make sure it doesn't use a male uncensor and is not set as futa. You can also check plugin settings > uncensor selector for the gender bender option.

Thank you for a great compilation Mod. I have a weird key binding issue. The original game uses the scroll wheel of the mouse to activate any animations, but when in VR the mouse is disabled. I cant find anyway of re-binding this anywhere. Can you help?

Hello Marco. I have installed HS2 & this HF patch, and I'm noticing the English translations in the dialogs when the ladies are speaking are so horrible, that I cannot even understand what they are trying to communicate... Thus, I'm wondering if the patch may not have installed correctly, or if the dialog is just that bad. E.g. "By the way, what are you? Do you have anything to think about?" Game options then pop up: "Give Affectionate/Optimistic/Sadistic reply". "Optimistic Reply" is chosen and she says, "That's right... I'm not the same as me..." ??? As you can see, the dialog is not even trackable; it makes no sense. Is this normal for HS2? Thanks.

There are no official translations, it's almost all machine translated as far as dialog goes, so this is normal. Fan translations cover only UI and small parts of dialogue. I'll include better machine translations that should make more sense in the next version of the patch. I'll post just the improved translation on patreon later.

I've installed the DLC as well and when i try to install the patch and direct to the folder with all the game files it says it cannot locate the files. You most likely extracted something to the wrong folder, the abdata folders of the game and all DLC should end up in the root directory. The patch also needs to be pointed to this directory.

This should have been fixed by a recent version of HF Patch. If you updated your sideloader modpacks recently there might be something in them that causes it, or one of your plugins might be causing it. I suggest sending your output_log.txt in the help channel on the discord server.

If you use high quality settings then it can take a few seconds to finish. It can also require a lot of RAM so if you run out it could hang or crash.

Do you have the DX expansion installed? Try moving the game to a simple directory like D:\Games\HS2 and if that doesn't help, post the output_log.txt file from the game directory on the discord in the hs2-help channel with a short explanation of the problem.

It should be able to connect, but you won't be able to upload cards from a modded game. If it doesn't work then you can use db.bepis instead.

AutoTranslator is what loads all translations so it is required to play in anything other than Japanese. Generating machine translations can be disabled in AutoTranslatorConfig.ini by setting nothing as endpoint.

For the steam version, can I add mods to the game without converting it to the Japanese version? If not, are you able to make an HF version for the steam version that does not convert it to the japanese version without it adding any translations, since it is already translated for the steam release? Sorry, the reason I ask is because I'd like to progress through the normal game without groups and number of girls per group being unlocked upfront. But being able to add outfits and cards to the game.

No mods are tested for that use case and a lot are likely to have issues. It's not worth the time to fix everything and then have to support two different versions. If you don't want some mod then you can just not install it or disable it in KKManager afterwards. I'm not sure what plugin could affect this though.

Greetings. At the moment I am a regular koikatsu player, yesterday I found in the steam store, that on June 2 the game HoneySelect2Libido DX was released. I hadn't really paid much attention to the HS2 game and I don't know many things about it, so I have these questions: what are the differences between HS2 and HS2 Libido DX? Is it the same game but in a western version? If I buy this game on steam, can I apply the patches that are here? or is it a totally different game? Depending on your answers I think I would consider buying the game. Thank you for your attention.

DX is an expansion to HS2. The steam version has DX bundled by default. Steam version has some differences but hf patch evens it out so it's effectively the same as the original version with DX. Since the steam ver is quite a bit cheaper it's the best version to buy at the moment.

After I installed the HF patch, the achievement page stopped working. I can't spend the points or do anything on that page, and I am forced to quit the game cuz it's not responding. Anyone knows how to fix the achievement bug?

Hello, Marco. Thanks for your patch! But I have problem with translation. I use Steam version, which both T.Chinese and S.Chinese are officially localized, but the AutoTranslator still tries to replace the official subtitles with Google-tier stuffs. Yes I edit the AutoTranslatorConfig.ini file by setting nothing as endpoint, but I still can't get the official translation back. What should I do?

When creating a character (facial type) it says outdated zipmod some items are missing, but I just updated the patch, am I missing some other update or something?

You probably have some modded character cards? It shouldn't happen otherwise. Update the normal sideloader modpack (ignore others) from the updater in launcher and it should disappear.

I didn't know how to access the modded character cards but u figured out how. It seems to work fine and the message that i mentioned on the first comment was more like when you create a character from scratch

If you don't see downloaded characters inside the game then make sure they are copied into the chara/female folder and that in game they are not filtered out. You can drag the cards into the game window to load them inside maker and some other places as well. Edit: Sorry, I didn't see the reply in the dashboard. If the cards don't load properly and you get missing mod warnings then try updating sideloader modpack from the game launcher. At the moment many of the custom face presets only work with specific characters so they can't be used easily to make your own.

It's because the patch converts the game into the original release and JP servers are used instead, but these are blocked outside of Japan. Furthermore trying to use the official servers with a modded game, especially uploading modded cards, can get you IP banned. It's better to use db.bepis.moe instead (it can be used as an alternative server in KK but it's not yet possible in other games).

So I finished downloading the patch more than an hour ago, and I open the game (hs2) immediately, but I stuck on the launching screen (the white screen with Illusion symbol in the middle) for an hour now. I also tried to open the studio neo v2, it also stuck on the launching screen, it said depending on my computer, it might take a few minutes, but I've been waiting for half an hour for it to load. So both my game and the studio is not launching.

I'm using the Steam version, I played it before I downloaded the patch, and it was loading very well. My computer is kind of old (3 years old), and it's using i7-9750h and GTX 1650. I downloaded the game and the patch in disc D, which is HDD, because I don't have enough space in disc C.

Restart your pc, move the game to a simple directory like d:\games\hs2, install the patch again. If none of these help, send me the output_log file from game directory, preferably on discord. The slow game load happens before the logo appears.

Put the patch files anywhere other than the game directory, like in your downloads folder. When the patch runs you have to point it to where the game is installed to.

Hello, you don't need to install the secret patch if you install HF Patch. Don't install any official updates for steam ver after the patch, they can break the game install.

I'm doing something wrong, and I'm not sure what. I installed the patch and did everything I did in the last update, but for some reason, the Studio is not 100% translated. The title screen has a few words that didn't translate, and the exit menu is also in Japanese (?). I also noticed several of the zip mods and such are no longer in the studio for some reason. Can you possibly help me?

Did not fix either problem, unfortunately. I don't mind the incomplete translation issue as most of the game and studio is translated, but the disappearance of my downloaded maps, items, and so on is more of a problem. Anything else I can try or check?

If the UI is bugging out, try rebooting your pc and reinstalling the patch without any other applications running. If that doesn't help, ask on discord with a screenshot of the issue.

So, is there any way to make the download quicker? I am a subscriber, I use a VPN, but the KKManager Update is still just downloading in KB, mostly 50-500. Doesn't matter what time of day it is, left it overnight to download 150gb and 14 hours later it's still just 4,5%

Did the cards work before installing the patch? Make sure you download the full unaltered card files, many websites will remove the character data when showing the image. Try dragging the cards into the game window while in maker and see if there's any error on screen.

KKManager uses the same servers so it'll probably be similar. In a week or so there should be an update to KKManager that should help with download speeds a fair bit so you can wait until then.
