This is my first and my favorite Ghibli film! Fun fact: the VA of Chihiro is Lilo's VA in Lilo and stitch and the VA of Lin, the woman that Chihiro sees first who takes her under her wing, is played by the VA of Meg from Hercules! And also a VA for Steven Universe I don't want to spoil

if i remember right the creator came up with the udea of the movie by thinking back to his childhood and the sense of adventure and for me it gives off a "respect nature" kinda feel i love it so much thanks for the beautiful reaction

Aww sorry, that's one of two Ghibli films I'd seen before starting my channel, the other one being Ponyo. I really liked Kiki's Delivery Service though! That's on patreon somewhere as well. And welcome :)

I would also recommend The Cat Returns or Lupin the Thrid Castle Cagliostro. Both are studio Ghibli.

This is the first time I watched this movie in the entirety, this would've scared the crap out of me if I watched it as a child I was scared watching Coraline as a kid so I know this would've given me nightmares. I think the movie was alright (yes yes such blasphemy I won't tell anime fans I think the movie was just fine), it was very pretty, and of course Lilo's voice actress is always a plus. Idk but it feels like something is missing storywise but I don't know what.
