2x2 Doors and Corners

Don't know whether-or-not anyone else has mentioned this yet, but S2 E4 and E5 were broadcast together as a two-hour one. We (#ScreamingFirehawks) strongly recommend viewing them together.

The Gel shots were basically crowd control, to deal with scientists, because as you could see, they were a bit nuts :) . MIller commented that Gel shots are the type of rounds Prison guards would have.. I loved this episode, its one of my favourites. I love the little details about how they don't have magical shields with percentages and expect to be shot full of holes, so that's why they depressurise the ship before going into battle.

I agree somewhat regarding Alex, he definitely feels like he's somewhat in the background compared to the other Roci crew in the early parts of the show.

Alex is probably the least developed character in the source material, at least in the early books, something that Cas Anvar has actually mentioned as a challenge he faced early on in the show. To their credit, the folks in the writers' room recognized this and have been working to give Alex some character bits to flesh him out a bit. You've seen the beginnings of that with the lasagna scene in the last episode, with his obsessive pre-battle simulation work in this episode, and you'll see more. The writers did a lot of character work with him in Season 2, and I'm betting you'll feel better about him soon.
