Just how Dawes got off Tycho will be explained in a bit of dialogue in the next episode.

Avarsarala is basically head of the civil service afaik. Basically top bureaucrat. As far as the drone, I recommend you rewatch the last few minutes of that episode on Ganymede. As far as Dawes, he is a strong believer in the belt, and does have their best interests in mind, but definately thinks he's the best man for the job. Once again one of the wonderfully morally grey characters of the expanse. As far as Fred nominating Dawes for the peace talks, it wasn't really about handing control over, it was about asserting authority. For example at the end of the Irish war of independence in the 20s, the British offered talks. At the leadership of the Republican movement in Ireland there were two very charismatic leaders, Eamonn De Valera and Michael Collins. Dev was the formal head of the rebel government, but he opted to send Michael Collins to the peace talks, because he knew that the British wouldn't offer all that they want, and that it would comprimise Collins to a degree, and strengthen his own position, keeping himself 'clean' of the political comprimises that might be asked. I see the Dawes Johnson dynamic a bit in that way. Shuttles, yes we have, remember Julie took a shuttle to Eros, the Anubis-1A.

Dawes: master manipulator, tried everyone and got successful with the kid. Diogo: a kid! At the same time Gunny being manipulated by the Martians on the Scirocco (that was her ship previously btw) . Gunny has some serious thinking to do! Naomi: does NOT like guns and Alex forces her to at least hold one. Not a happy camper at the moment. Chrisjen is just beautiful in this episode! She can finally push a peace agenda for a while against the frowny face of Errinwright...Good story building episode. Also I had a sense that the Belter meeting was more like a GOT scene with the different factions present and deciding on their leader and what the next move is.

I don’t know if you got what Holden was doing when he got up with his gun. He was going to be execute Cortazar. It really highlights how much Holden has changed. This is something that he hated about Miller. Holden has always been a good guy (even when he doesn’t want to be).

Interesting real life parallel! And d'oh. Of course! Forgot that she took the shuttle since I don't think we've actually seen any on screen yet.

This episode was a Jared Harris showcase. Loved the manipulation going on with Diogo and of course his standoff with Fred. Nice to get some background on Camina Drummer. Love her cynicism and general 'tude. Its diffucult to tell whose side she's on but her expression during Dawes and Fred's speeches was interesting. She doesn't give much away.

Quite a few of your questions will be answered in the next episode, but also bring forth more questions lol. Also, major difference between Dawes and the orange one...Dawes has a brain.
