I actually think this is the best ending for the premise of the entire series. Andy would never love woody forever, neither would Bonnie. this was proven in toy story two when Jessie reveals her backstory. Emily didn't neglect or abandon Jessie, she just grew up, as every kid does. I'm sure if you asked your parents, they could tell you you had multiple toys you were obsessed with as a kid that you just one day grew out of. that you likely don't even remember now. Bonnie was only a temporary solution and we have all known this. no toy stays a kid forever. Woody finally realizes its ok to live his life for himself. not in service of somebody else. As for Gabby, honestly, I think we are meant to read her ending in this context as well. She didn't get a happy ending so much as she got a brief reprieve from her sadness. her kid will grow up one day too. and she will need to realize that she needs to live her life for herself as well.

I love this movie!! I can't say which of all the Toy Story movies I love most because I love them all equally. However, if I absolutely did have to make a choice... I would say that this movie is my least favorite of the four. Not because it wasn't funny, because wow... this movie was hilarious and adorable. However, I felt it was just the saddest of all of them simply because Woody became neglected, after he gives everything to making sure Andy and Bonnie are happy and loved back by her toys. And he cares for every toy. It's just so sad. It's also sad that he says goodbye to all of his friends, especially to Buzz. As much as I understand and am happy that he found his own happiness upon being reunited with Bo Peep again... it's just sad to see Woody and Buzz split apart. I would love to see another movie where they all come together again. As for the new toys like Forky, Gabby Gabby, Duke Caboom, Giggle McDimples, Bunny, and Ducky... I love them all too, except for Forky. Even though he had a lot of funny lines with Woody and the others, and he made for a lot of funny moments throughout the movie... as a toy, he kind of bothered me. And I agree with you about Gabby Gabby... about how she didn't exactly deserve to have her happy ending because of how she was willing to hurt Woody, Forky, and anyone else to get what she wanted. I liked that she found happiness with a new child, but like Lotso from Toy Story 3, she didn't deserve it. Overall... I love this movie so much! I also liked how Jesse and all the toys banded together to keep Bonnie and her parents at the carnival for Woody, Buzz, and Forky. Woody is and always will be my absolute favorite of the toys. I love his loyalty to his friends and to both Andy and Bonnie as well. I love how he gives his whole heart to them all at the cost of his own happiness. He's loving and... I just love him. I'm always drawn most to these kind of characters in any movies and shows too. I love the soft, gentle, and shy characters. Plus... I am a huge fan of Tom Hanks, who is the perfect voice actor to play him, as is Tim Allen for Buzz. Thank you again.. so much for your reaction! I really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun watching this movie with you again. I can't wait for more!!!
