(Elinniel) Random Post #24 (Lene Quest 3) (Patreon)

Heya! Sorry for the slow month. Things didn't really go as planned. I try my hardest to have everything done for a monthly release, but this time shit hit the fan for me. I couldn't even post about my thoughts on Lene's quest. Well, better late than never.
Soo. Lene, huh? Not gonna lie. I never expected her to be the most popular character here. But now that we finally reached her third quest, I really wanted to make something good.
Honestly, I was unsure how I would wrap up her story. If I could, I would like 3 other quests to really flesh out everything, but things being how they are, I needed to end things here. Lene's story is all about her being rejected in society for being what she calls a freak and her vengeance for the person who made her said freak.
My original outline for Lene's quest was that Lene and the player would go to the witch's tower, and after not finding her there, they would take one experiment that would beg them to be saved. After the witch found out that her (perfect) experiment was taken, she would go on a rampage and attack the village to get her back. And after a destructive fight, the witch would be defeated, and everyone would live happily ever after.
The thing is, my dumb brain forgot about it, and… well, both the "perfect" experiment and the tower are already in-game and are being used on something that has no link to Lene, and there is no witch in sight. Of course, I could've done a lot of stuff from here, like the witch comes back and whatnot, but because the tower and Peach aren't connected to Lene's earlier quests, I couldn't link them, because the player might as well not have reached the tower when he starts Lene third quest.
So I've decided on taking another route. Dropping the vengeance aspect and leaning on the "being accepted" part. (Or Lene realizing that she is already accepted). Now, that was fine as an idea, but how to not make that feel and sound like bullshit? I don't know. I hope I did a good job getting everything across.
After the end of this quest, there is still one loose end. I'm not going to talk too much about it, but after completing the quest, you'll be left with a letter in your inventory that'll be used some other time.
