Hey everyone,

We're back with a new animated map. Check out the preview in the video above!

This time we decided to animate our City Marketplace, lots of tents blowing the breeze, birds flying over, chickens wandering around and chimneys smoking. We hope you enjoy finding all the little details!

If you're at the $10 tier you can get the map using the links below:

Are there animated versions of all the variations or only this one with the beholder fountain?

Mad Pupeteer

Is there a night variation?

Evan Clarke

Of course this is animated AFTER I already used it...! Well I guess my players are going back, or will encounter it again somewhere else :D

VitAnyaNaked

I like the way City Marketplace looks now, I'm very happy with this animated map. Thank you!

Do animated maps work on Roll20? Or is this a Foundry thing?

Dave

That's amazing. How do they work?

czepeku

Any VTT that can run an MP4 or WEBM (like Foundry, EncounterPlus, etc.) can use these or you can just load it up in a standard video player (like QuickTime or VLC) if you have a horizontal screen you can play on.

They're easy to use in Foundry and EncounterPlus and have dynamic lighting setup for those VTTs. They also work in R20 but you need some plugins because natively R20 struggles with videos. I would ask on our discord or the roll20 forums for help with that, i know people have got them to work.

Daniel Gonzales

Seems to work on my end. What kind of issue are you encountering?

czepeku

The animated maps are for $10 tier patron reward, i think you're in the $5 tier.

Does anyone know how to turn off the ambient sound on this map? The loop is super short and I want to turn it off.
