Hey everyone! We're making a series of review polls just to guage opinions on our maps and content. We want to streamline our content and find out what's useful to people and what isn't.

It's been a year since we started providing PDF maps, so let us know if you've used them and if so, how it went. We know that with the pandemic, very few people have had the opportunity to play in person, but let us know if you're planning to use them once games start happening in-person again. :)

Team, First of all, your craftmanship is inspiring. I am in the military and currently only able to run online campaigns. Honestly, I never allowed myself to dream of anything more until becoming your patron. I have another 8 years until I am out and might be able to truly play with my friends in person, but in the interim... I have someone spawned two beautiful little adventurers. One (7 years old), a noble elven, paladin with a rebellious side, and the other (5 years old) believes she is a Fey vampire. One day soon, I hope to run a campaign with my amazingly supportive wife and these two. When that day comes, the professionalism of your maps will add so much to their first experiences. All this to say, if it is too much effort to keep it going, I understand. But if you just want to know it is appreciated, it truly, truly is. Sincerely, A. T.

Is there any way to link my Patreon account here to my Roll20 account?

I love the .pdfs but my crew is all Roll20 until things get sorted. Once things settle down again, though, I'm anxious to get back to using minis at a real table.

I voted for the "after the pandemic" option - but want to add that I'm not yet 100% sure about it. It's possible I'll just stick with digital even when I have people at my place.

GeekinFahbs

I second this opinion because I'd like having the option to print but could see myself still using digital in person depending on the situation.

Still digital till the lockdowns end

Maddy Currie

My game will be fully remote forever because I've got players in different countries.

Also likely to be in the digital realm even after the pandemic. I would love to run a game where I'd need the pdfs, but it's unlikely to happen.

With encounter+, even in person sessions are digital maps only

FunkyJ

I'm a bit of a hoarder, so like the idea of having the PDF maps, even if I don't use them :)

zsilverfox

I'm exclusively virtual so the PDFs aren't of use to me.

Ogo Sylla

I play virtually and whenever I get back to playing at a table Imma go back to the ol' grid and eraser board pen anyways. So nah, don't really need PDF maps

Kit Ortega

My games were virtual before the pandemic, and likely always will be. My long-term players are in 4 different states.

While we play digitally at the moment, there were a few glorious weeks where we managed to meet in person. I started a game where I co-GM with my 6-year-old and she and I had a blast using the printed maps. Not saying you need to keep making them, just saying that it's a wonderful experience to roll out one of your maps for a table of players. So, thank you for the PDFs you have provided!

I have used a few of the map PDFs for irl games with some close friends! We haven't been able to play for a while, but when we are all vaccinated the PDFs makes printing the maps so much easier

Benjamin Parslow

I'm a strictly in-person player, so the PDFs are key for me.

Unwated Arcana

I tend to run theatre of the mind in person, so if I use your maps in person, its generally to show the players to give them an idea of where they are.

It’s always good to have a stash of maps waiting to be printed when needed imo. You never know.

Janine Mathews

I signed up for the printable maps and use them both in person and remotely. Your maps are extraordinary, print beautifully, and make DMing more fun and visual - particularly for us, old-school, paper driven players and DMs.

JBWGamer4

I hoard the pdf maps but I don't use them as my games are all on Roll20 at the moment. I came into the game during lockdown and have yet to be able to run a game in person but I would love to have the maps available should that ever become a possibility.

FoxArris

Even in person, I prefer to use foundry or roll 20 on a big screen to display to my players. Printing maps just doesnt make sense to me.

I play a mix of in-person and online games and likely always will. Having the printable PDF maps means I can use them for all my games and not just the online ones.

Roman

At the moment it’s all through roll20 for my games! But the moment I can run games in person again it’s back to the printed maps! Please please keep the printable PDF

Locus214

I've been using the PDF versions for my campaign through a PDF annotator, as it's easier for me to use in-person with the screen at work we run the games through, and I can share it with the other players for a remote game without everyone needing to install/set-up VTT software, please keep that option available!

PDF files work well even digitally because they allow for a good zoom in/out.

HaroldHogmen

I assume I will one day play in person again and nice maps would be cool.
