So far we've released three packs of airships, a passenger dock and just now we released a hangar bay. Although all of those packs have been well recieved we recognize it's quite a niche subject matter in the wide world of RPGs, so, would you like to see more of it or should we cool it for a while?

(regardless of the poll results we plan on releasing a mind flayer nautiloid ship at some point, as that's already a work in progress!)

John Bruce

Absolutely! My campaign will have airships in the coming months, I’d love more content around that!

Stark Maximum

I abstain from voting becauae I am literally running a floating island skysailing campaign and thus I feel like my needs are VERY different from most people. I AM that niche you're aiming for.

Dan Gragert

Obtaining vote out of indifference. I do have use for airship things in the immediate future, but you've given us a ton of great stuff, so... Could go either way. I let the people choose and will be grateful for w/e content is made. Maybe if it keeps coming we do a whole sky chapter. Could be fun. ;)

Shawn

My current campaign is based around an airship, and would love more content around it! Love the content so far

Greg Hacke

As much of the airship content could be "set" in the water, would it be possible to just do a version with water vs. air? Gives a steampunk waterborne vibe.

czepeku

Then you should vote! If everyone who wanted those maps didn't vote, that'd be a silly result. :)

Daniel S.

It does seem very niche. It's a genre I don't and likely won't use anytime soon, but it's also a niche not a lot of others are making content for. Personally I like more classic fantasy/dungeon/cave/castle maps.

Paul

I wouldn't mind seeing some variations of regular ships?

Drakon Vines

As long as we get more Eberron airship content, I am down.

Chris Lontok

Yes, it's niche but it's the exact niche I'm playing in right now.

Rob Nowell

Yes. Yes. 💯 Would love to see some more maps made with airships in mind.

Michael Wilson

Seems to be a lot of us running airship campaigns these days.

Ihileath

It'll be useful one day, so sure!

Ari Grad

I would like more airship- or perhaps spaceship content. Perhaps we could get more a more 'protected' map for spell-jammer game?

James Mitchell

Not only more airships, but bigger ones too, please.

Kit Tusks

Gosh yes pls!

Andrewx8 88

I'd like more airship content, but preferably if it can be used in in a wide range of campaigns, ex, a downed airship battle map, or maybe a mega airship as suggested by others. The mega-pack of airships you released are great, but i feel as if they don't many usable ships.

The Digital DM

Currently running an Airship campaign. Please more airship content! there is not enough out there

Winnie

I think I'd like to see some other variety of things! The airships aren't bad at all, every map you make is amazing! But I'd like to see other things too ^^

LoyalOpposition

I guess I have a dissenting opinion, I've never used airships and have no plan to in the campaign I have going. I think the maps are beautiful and they are impressive, I just have no use for them so I'd like to see something a bit more general use make a more regular return.

CJ

They're cool for sure, but personally they're sort of niche and don't fit into my campaign styles that are more grounded.

John Hopfner

I agree with LoyalOpposition: the airship content is impressive, and I see why people value it who currently are running airship campaigns, or are planning to run them in future. But I fall in neither category, so this content, while fun to look at, isn't anything I personally will use.

MiepMaup

On the note of more airship content, I'd like to see a bigger airship with a lot of rooms to work as a base for players. Bonus points for a variety of decorations per room, so players can fight over which ones they like best :P

Thom Anthony

Okay this may be an unpopular opinion, but I need more reuseable maps. Like, here’s a set of 10 unique forest maps with cool, fun to interact with terrain. Here’s 10 under dark maps, 10 deserts, etc. A really good library of different settings that can be reused across different campaigns.

Kielley Bade

I'd love more airship and general ship maps! Preferably maps of the ship interiors, both with and without assets, though!

Thom Anthony

I love your art style and that’s why I’m a patron. So many of your maps feel like boss rooms, which are dope! but I’d like to have more maps which lead up to those epic battles. Thanks!

Chris De Santo

More regular ships would be helpful, we're doing more of a high seas game in the next arc so anything come be put to use.

Arlen Pringle

As someone not running an airship campaign, but occasionally running a seafairing ship campaign, it would be nice if you DO continue making these, to make non flying variants.

David Talbert

I like airships! But I need jungles.

Justin

No, I feel like that ship has sailed.

Eric Lord

I run a ton of steampunk so airship maps are a TON of useful for me. Would love to see more!

Grayson DeWolfe

Thom nailed it - would also love to see more of your gorgeous maps with more things in the environment that could be used to make combat interesting and less repetitive. Anything that's not just a big clearing would be great! (Loved the multiple levels to the last hanger you put out!)

hauntedxxshadow

while the "air" part of the airships I don't really find useful to my games personally having versions in the water or shipwrecked make it more appealing. My vote is no, but good alts I'm all for

Ogo Sylla

More specifically, I'd love to see more content like the airship factory, port & hangar bay. That stuff is great!

Crono Hollow

I'm actually running a spelljammer game and the airship stuff is great for it. Can use any kind of ship maps, sailing, air, jamming, all ships are great! Honestly the best part about a space based campaign is with all the diffrent worlds I can use pretty much all your maps somewhere. Lol. Know this is probably a super niche ask but any sort of fantasy space map would be a godsend honestly! haha❤

Brian Tiu

Give me a cool airship battle in midair! Something dynamic with lots of different footholds and places for PCs and NPCs to stand as the ships fight it out and then even head toward a collision and mutually assured destruction! Set a Course...for Oblivion!!

Eliot Miller

Yes, IF they come with normal ship variants. I'd like more ports, pirate ships and town barges please!

Jesse Vo

Additional vote for sea-based variants.

Alexander Brune

I'm just not really into steampunk.

Gyrtop

Really like the airships that exist! I just feel like I’ve gotten a huge range of usable stuff already. A nautiloid would be fantastic to go with the others I’ve used for spelljammers though.

Amandine Astier

I run games in med-fan styles, so I'm not into steampunk.

czepeku

We went to a museum recently and it gave us some great ideas for a galleon dungeon, so that's in the works!

czepeku

Dissenting opinions are good too! And right now it looks like the votes are mainly for less airship content.

czepeku

This is doable! Probably time we make a reallllly big airship.

czepeku

This is the most popular comment in the thread and something we'll definitely think about. We tried to do this with the Crossroads, Magic Forest and Open Ocean packs. But we haven't done a desert or underdark pack in the same way.

Nobby

I like the idea of more airships, but not steampunk

Genna Logan

Something more general use would be really nice.

Thom Anthony

That would be amazing. Off the top of my head, I would suggest: Underdark, Mountain Pass, Jungle/Swamp, Desert, & Forest (I’ll check out the Magic Forest Pack).

Stéphane Aubin

I think it would be cool to see some more types of airships, kinds of like, armoured dreadnoughts and "carrier ships", maybe some that are adaptable to higher-tech/futuristic settings (à-la Treasure Planet), that sort of stuff! Either way, airships are super dope. Thanks!

Maggie Quick

As beautiful as they are, most of my games are more high fantasy or gothic :)

Bart Robbins

I do Eberron campaigns and need more multilevel elemental airships. With captains quarters, galley, guest quarters, and stuff like that

Raiztt

I wouldn't mind more steampunk adjacent/urban content, a la Arcane >_>

Joe Shipp

I would love some png airships with transparent backgrounds so I can use them on other maps!

Tom Gilmore

I'm agree Genna - I would love to see some more general use stuff like basic dungeons, caves, etc. Your maps are the first place I go when looking for any sort of inspiration or something to just drop in to a place that I didn't plan for. A simple dungeon or cave system would be really helpful.

Papa Steel

I'd also like more steampunk-adjacent content, similar to the new Arcane series that came out. Fantasy-tech.

czepeku

We're currently watching Arcane and enjoying it! I'm sure it'll inspire us. :)

Nor'easter Games

Maybe if the airship were a dungeon? Sort of like a Howl's moving castle or FF12/Death Star approach? That'd be pretty badass. :)

Unwated Arcana

Now I voted for less airships, BUT, I am all for more steampunk. My setting is going to hit an archaeological industrial revolution in the timejump between the current and the next campaigns!

Jae Augustus

My campaign uses airships, but I totally get where people are coming from for general purpose stuff as even I don't center my stuff around them all that much. Maybe the solution is to have airship related stuff as a variant for maps? Love your work as always! :D

HaroldHogmen

Yeah, airship related variants is a good idea! At least sometimes.

Ari Grad

Specifically more 'sealed' (perhaps starship troopers) style droppod/airship/canister ships.

BeardedTech

I love the air ships would some empty ones so we can customize the interiors

Dino Romero

I have a fever, and the only prescription is more airships (and also sky island terrain variants).

LoyalOpposition

I think there might be a way to keep both since I do have a need for regular old ships. I can never seem to have enough varied sailing ships for the way my players jump around them. My VTT of choice already does a pretty decent switch of a map to nighttime and I can add in dynamic FX for fireflies and the like so if I lost out on one or two variants of a map to give someone who needs it an airship I'd be ok with that. The same could be done with the airship style hanger/mooring/whatever else they need. A few fewer variants of sky background to throw in one or two that are just water would let me potentially take those and still get some use out of them.

LANCE MANLY, SORCERER OF SIN

Absolutely loved each of these packs, but I'd also like to see more mundane maps from you guys! You bring such great life to things, and I've always wanted more colorful maps for my overworld random encounters.

Katrina Richardson

I'd really like some more snow content, I love your maps but I can't use most of them because I'm running Rime of the Frostmaiden, and am limited to snow/cold variants of everything.

Jacob Malpocker

I'll echo this sentiment about mundane subjects. I love the art that you bring forward, and having some more traditional RPG settings would be extremely helpful.

Mari Murdock

To echo what some people are saying, I'd love more dungeon-style maps with rooms, caves, or tunnels, even if it is in an airship. ;)

MGQPhocus

I can always use more Airship content for my world. Love the work.

Mathis Sea

I'm loving the airship stuff mostly because it's perfect for a later campaign arch I have planned. See what you mean about it being pretty niche though.

Nabeshima Neko

Airship stuff is great, even more so with the arrival of Spelljammer.

J.R. Severn

I love airships!!
