0.6 Development Update 38 (Patreon)

Hey, folks!

So the v0.6.8 with the new iteration of the Xmas event is coming this week. Can’t say for sure on which day since I’m still finishing up the location for the new scene, but we’re getting there. Blair’s joining the celebration and bringing some sparkle with her!

Other than that, we’ve already started work on 0.6.9. It’s going to be another one of the cozy/fun updates with a few new events, cute moments and fun times. And we’re hopefully going to finish remastering the Rae/Cait dream. It looks so-o-o-o-o-o much better now. But I won’t show it to you just yet, maybe in next dev update.

Last time I started feeding you some story teasers, and I’m going to continue doing that from time to time, but it got me thinking. How about we do a quick poll on what kind of extras you folks want to see in the dev updates next time?  We already did this one way back, but since then dev updates changed a lot.

I have a few ideas on what I could be doing at least semi-regularly, but I’d like to hear your ideas as well. So here’s what I can offer:

• Story teasers. Very vague foreshadowing of things to come. We’re getting close to finishing the plans for the whole of the main story, so there should be plenty of things to tease in the coming months.
• Lore dumps. Want to read all of Dun Eideann’s theories of ether mechanics? Timeline of Naomi’s travels? All of Lyriel’s titles and her family’s lineage?
• Vignettes. Just some random bits of dialogues or short scenes, all text. Something that would be a bit out of place in the game, just having fun with the characters.
• Q&A sessions. This is more vague, but we could do that if you folks are interested. Won’t touch anything too personal, of course, but otherwise I’m open to sharing more info.
