I really enjoyed editing this one - it's one of the more scattered and oddly paced videos I've done, but I think that gives it a lot of charm? Hopefully you agree! The least used station videos are always fun opportunities to do a greater focus on random minutiae.

Finally!

My dreams have come true! More Michigan content!!

I’ve always wondered why low level platforms are so common in the U.S.

East lansing also has one train a day but Ann Arbor has 3 proving uofm is better than msu

Corey Rowe

That Greyhound is the one intercity connection here I haven't done yet and it seems... not too bad? It's the only way to get back from Chicago late at night besides the Amtrak Thruway bus, gonna try it one of these days

Tim Hull

Not sure how that would help get back from Chicago late at night, as it is going towards Chicago. in any case, it looks like it doesn’t even exist anymore - only Greyhound I see from Ann Arbor to Battle Creek leaves in the morning.

Corey Rowe

Looks like the route I'm thinking of is a second one, the Benton Harbor / Kzoo / A2 trip

If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look around you

Watching this on the train on my way to the least used station in Kansas.

Battle Creek was the most branded town I've seen on a Miles in Transit video since Wawa, NJ. A "canon Marriott" has now entered my lexicon, that's hilarious.

Ann Arbor is a great time, BC is a sad time. Love your Michigan content!

David Birkam

there is an amazing grocery store in Battle Creek called Horrocks that moved from downtown adjacent... into the dying mall off the freeway. Additionally, BC is one of the geographically largest cities in Michigan from absorbing surrounding townships. Its soooo sprawling. I bet all of Albion's Amtrak passengers are for the tiny private college. It's quaint, I visited friends who went to the college. It was a very weird little town to experience.

I think that is an Anser, or Greyleg Goose. Or just its equivalent, the Domestic Goose. There are many different goose species and I believe they hybridize easily.

Tim Hull

Glad to see you got to visit Ann Arbor, though you didn’t have time to try out our local bus system (and the U-M buses, which you did show on the video). I suspect the Courtyard by Marriott in Albion was built to serve people visiting Albion College.

Matthew Harris

There are so many things to foam: fire hydrants, geese, canals, etudes for bassoon, and if you want to be cliché and passé, trains.

If you included a section of you watching your own video, do you think you could get a copyright strike?

The Patreon Patrons font is giving serious homage to the season 1 One Day at a Time opening credits. If you use this again maybe consider doing Bonnie Franklin's jump for joy to round out the tribute? https://youtu.be/-tHTdbJdcu4?t=10

Also, I agree that you can edit anything to look interesting. And I like it when you do it. I do think that some transit YouTubers have kind of taken it too far, because a lot of the stuff that you do that I like (blurry or shaky footage, out of context edits), I don't like when other people do it.

Miles in Transit

Wow, this was totally unintentional - I've never actually heard of this show, but I love this theme song!

Miles in Transit

Hutchinson! That's an interesting least used station in that it seems like it has SO much to do that it might stretch the 24-hour time I'd theoretically get there!

As a Michigander myself, I love your Michigan content. I think it showcases how Michigan sometimes has better state-funded connectivity than states further west, but still has so many gaps it could better fill in. If you're ever in Michigan again and it strikes your fancy, some of the incredibly long Indian Trails buses subsidized by the state in an effort to improve connectivity to the more far-flung places, including the Upper Peninsula, could be interesting. I don't think I've ever seen any content on them, other than the Grand Rapids-Chicago run.

"what key is it in?" Nathan asking your viewers the same question I ask the undergrads in all 4 classes I teach, multiple times per class, 9 times a week
