Good thing no one's invented a faster way to get to Hempstead, right? Looks like you’ve had this one in the vault for a while!

cr0wbar

They close practically half their entire network, but keep this route open???

Daniel Barbier

🤣 love the sarcasm at the end

Matthew Harris

I wonder if there is some weird bureaucratic perverse incentive that keeps a line like this running? Maybe Greyhound has some type of regional manager that has "routes managed" as a performance metric, so they keep zombie routes to keep those numbers up? Of course, that is unlikely---Greyhound is a corporation, and like you said, they aren't like government agencies where such inefficiencies can continue!

Patty Jean

Yay, congestion pricing!

John Boyle

So Greyhound from PABT to Hempstead has the same level of service as Philly to Allentown and Scranton.

Who let the dog out, who who who?

Watching this video was like that one soyjak pointing meme

Seth Ward

I’m not a big fan of Greyhound. Great video.

Bud W.

The pervasive snark is beautiful.

Max

I suppose this might be *nominally* useful if you’re going from LI to somewhere else on greyhound (and don’t mind a longer travel time). That being said, I haven’t laughed this hard at a video of yours in quite a while so the ragging is definitely deserved

Miles in Transit

It's only once a day, though, so it has to time perfectly with wherever you're trying to go! (also thank you!)

Max

Ah that is true—or you’d just have to be ok with waiting for a bit in Port Authority. I honestly do see a small use case for it existing, although definitely not more than one trip a day

The US and Canada flag logo at 2:49 is the seal of the Amalgamated Transit Union, which represents Greyhound employees

Mike Wright

2:48 - That's the ATU Union Seal! Greyhound in Canada used to belong to 2 different ATU locals (east; 1415, and west; 1374).

Jeremy cracks me up. He’s fantastic. Is he a secret degenerate horseplayer? I noted the Secretariat dig at him. Nobody would gush about Secretariat other than a degenerate horseplayer. Tell him if he wants to meet up at Saratoga this summer I’m there!

Miles in Transit

The Secretariat stuff is us making fun of one of our [REDACTED] friends - it's probably a far-too-inside joke to include in these but we think it's funny!
