Moses tore down the ferry terminal to build FDR drive as a new approach to the Triborough, not out of spite. However he got so pissed at LaGuardia for agreeing to delay the demolition for a few months that he went ahead and destroyed it anyway, out of spite.

Watching this makes me miss NYC. I only rode one ferry and it was the one to Liberty Island so not even an NYC ferry.

Whenever you are in a situation like you were in at 22:05, when you can't find your way out of some transit area, do you ever wonder "What would this situation be like for someone who hadn't made a decades-long hobby of weird transit adventures?", because that is what I think, and I realize that if I can't navigate transit, than it must be really terrible for a non-transit user!

I've actually thought of this for Washington State Ferries, but that would be a much wider geographical area! Also, longer trips and longer headways, and worse outcomes if there are delays. But also, of course, they run 20 hours a day and in some cases, the trips are long enough you could sleep on them.
