I hope the Torontonians in my audience understand the pain of trying to ride every VIVA route on a Sunday...

(also, will I get pushback for calling it "Toronto"? Obviously it's mostly for clickbait recognition, but also the Blue Line does enter the City of Toronto at its southern end...)

[EARLY] Attempting to Ride Toronto's Legendarily Bad BRT System

In typical YRT fashion, a significant portion of this video is just spent waiting. Maybe it's just my limited reference pool, but both the terrain and the BRT systems reminded me of the mid-sized metro BRT systems of the Pacific NW--Spokane, the C-Tran Vine, and the Eugene EmX. Hopefully the next trip that way you'll get to ride at least one of those systems, but I also think you might have other priorities.

We should at least consider the possibility that Transit Enthusiast Vest Man is a multiverse Miles

Should've invited me, I'm the resident YRT expert around here ;) I'll say more when the video comes out (and I'll probably comment this as well), but its important to note that the poor frequencies aren't YRT's fault. They're basically doing whatever they can with the shoe-string budget they have. The real people to blame are the politicians who refuse to fund them.

This 1000%. The blame for Viva headways squarely with the York regional council. The difference between York region and Markham transit budgets is outrageous, and the service reflects it

Omg no way! I’m so happy you did a video with Michael! He was such a homie up at the Montreal event! 😻 Hope to see you lads again at the next one! 🫡
