Friends, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has signed up for Patreon over the past couple days, and indeed to everyone who has been here for longer than that! It's been insane seeing the number of supporters grow, and we're now at over 2,000 patrons! This so far exceeds any expectations I had when I started this, and especially for a channel under 100,000 subscribers, it's just such an overwhelming amount of support...I can't thank you all enough for, to be completely honest, FULLY FUNDING the adventures I'm able to take for the channel!! I really hope that the video output has made you feel like your money has been going to a decent place - I still have a lot of comments on here I need to respond to, but I just had to show my appreciation for everyone first. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about making perfect thumbnails or taking a million sponsors (well, except Manta, but those are just extremely fun to do), and I'm so extremely grateful that my odd, chaotic style of videomaking about extremely niche topics has managed to garner such an amazing, supportive audience.

I have big plans for next year: some huge international trips (including a couple of forays to a new continent for me), the return of a beloved series (or multiple?), and attempting to edit my way through a massive backlog that includes a 24-hour Clipper Card challenge, a trip to Paris, and - possibly what I'm most excited to edit once I'm done with the December suite - the overland journey to a small French collectivity off the coast of Newfoundland that many of the geography foamers in the audience will know the name of! ;) Plus I'll be doing even more fun stuff whose plans I need to lock in with my friends: more least used stations, more trip reports, and some potentially insane challenges...

I realize this feels more like a look-ahead to 2026 when I am still very much working my way through the end of 2025, but please enjoy a sneak preview of what will hopefully be coming out in two weeks' time! This could end up being very different depending on how the rest of the video pans out (my editing process is very vibes-based) and I could end up splitting this one into two parts as well if the pacing makes sense, but the least I can do is give everyone a look at what's coming next! I think it's going to be a good one ;)

Thank you for bringing us along on all the adventures, Miles, and happy holidays to everyone in the Extended Miles in Transit Universe!

Stormy Kara

It’s been awesome seeing you grow and the incredible catalog of super cool videos you’ve created. I’m honored to have been a part of some, and I can’t wait to see what you have cooking for us in the future!

Orion

Congrats, Miles!! Looking forward to more ✨ chaos✨ in 2026

Nick Albanese

Congrats dawg you definitely deserve it with all that comedy you have for us foamers

Ren Zaro Fitzgerald

I for one am very excited for a January with Miles in Transit ;)

mae

thank you so much for your incredible work! you deserve all the growth you get and more - i recall coming across your channel with the video where you took a greyhound across the country and thought that you must’ve had at least 500k subscribers at the time, it was very refreshing to get such high quality content from a creator your size ^^

Eric Hanson

Your love for transit is infectious. You provide so much entertainment and education that’s invaluable to society, chaos and all! I can’t wait to see where you get up to next year (really hope you’re implying visiting places in Asia cause I’d love to see your take) but excited to see you ply through my hometown of Edmonton on your cross Canada bus trek. I lived in Vancouver and now Toronto, and between the three cities, it’s light and day in so many ways. All the best to you and your family (I really need another family trip soon) and Aleena. May 2026 see you cruising higher!

Matthew Harris

I already know which Province of Canada is going to be Miles' favorite: Many Tuba!

Charles Reiche

I'm 15 minutes into Movement's interview. Now I think I'll hold off on the interview until this drops.

Mérész Dani

I just hope one day I'll see a video from my hometown, Budapest :) Lots of cool tram rides, subways and a funicular.

Chris Leroux

Because I had followed the trip religiously on Twitter, I didn't even realize that you hadn't released the video yet. I can't wait! I'm sad that I wasn't able to say hello as you stopped in Montreal. I was coincidentally coming into Bonaventure Station like 30 minutes after you left, a coin's toss from the Megabus departure area. Keep up the amazing work! I absolutely love your editing style. It's extremely charming and all of the Patreon support is because of how authentic you are on camera.

Max

You’re the goat of transit YouTube man, keep up the good work! Honestly this post has reminded me that since I’ve been watching you for so long (I think 4 years atp), I kinda miss the earlier era of lower budget hyper-local Philly/Boston content. There’s something really interesting about showing the unique parts of a system you’d ride everyday anyway versus one you’d travel across the world to see. I’m not sure if I’m the only one that likes those kinds of videos more (the Boston ferry ones were some great recent examples!) but I definitely hope 2026 will feature those types of vids too in addition to the bigger production ones!

Rebecca Mundschenk

I love everything and everyone in the MIT universe!

Andrew Franklin

Your channel has inspired me! In the last year, I have visited 6 foreign countries and I made an effort to ride all of the public transit that I could in each one!! It was intimidating at times, especially in places where English (my first language) was nonexistent. But I thought to myself, “Miles and his friends would do it.” Thanks a million! Looking forward to the miles ahead.

JeroenL

No, thank YOU for keeping the Patreon so affordable!

J dubs

Love British Columbia

Victor Rousseau Trépanier

can't wait to see the video and finding out how you did the Québec to new Brunswick part ! I was sure that only via rail connect the two provinces by transit!

Jon Ross

You have an incredible patron to subscriber ratio because your adventures are so good it makes people want to be part of it, your in jokes help us feel a sense of community, and your humor, style, and special guests make each video endlessly entertaining. Wherever your travels take you, you know we’ll be watching and enjoying!

Bryan Harvey

I saw you and Aleena were interviewed by the CBC about your journey, so I’ve been looking forward to this one.

jay

so glad i found this channel this year, your videos have gotten me really excited about public transit again! (and also altered my entire apartment’s vocabulary, “foamer” and “diner!” are permanent mainstays now)

Michael K

You stoooopid hdjwodjhe I do this ironicolly aucuudme, trains. Jk love your content and congrats

Jonathan Sergent

go ride the weird australian busways!!!!

Jeb Rach

Wait, a ferry, a menu shot, AND a fun fact all in the first 3 minutes of the next video?!?! Shut up and take my money!

Shawn

Completely deserved! I love the exotic stuff, but we really need an old school traipsing around NYC video with Jeremy! 😆

logan

miles in transit 4ever!!!!!!

Ryyy

Love you and your beautiful chaos, Miles!!

Elise Mae

"Locking in with friends" might be my favorite part of your channel, Miles. I'm sure it takes a lot of logistical planning, as you mention. But it's wonderful to have the local expertise and even better to enjoy the esprit de corps among you and your crew.

Tim Hull

This looks awesome! Have been waiting for this (and your last video) since I was following your posts on Bluesky this summer. Hoping there’s an extended directors cut of this one as well - still only 2.5 hours into the one for your last video!

Ontario Traffic Man

I am so excited for the cross-Canada bus video(s)! I can't wait to hear more about what it's like to ride those intercity services. I had never even heard of DRL before your journey

David is Hungry

Hey Miles! I’m happy to help out in anyway that I can. Your videos are a lot of fun and extremely informative.

chocolate~eclaire

Congrats Miles! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for making this corner of the Internet an inclusive and safe place for everyone! 🏳️‍⚧️

Eltiempo10

Your enthusiasm is infectious… I’ve even got my entire family as fans of yours now. I watched your last video on a high-speed train between France and Germany… And I could only think how much fun you’d have doing some European rail journeys. Maybe taking the EU rail pass on seeing how much you could get out of it in certain amount of days.

heyitshaystack

Can’t wait for the 24-Hr Clipper Card challenge as someone whose introduction to transit was in the Bay Area!!! Congrats Miles, and I’m very happy to be here :) (thanks for keeping the patreon affordable, this broke college student is very happy :3)

Matthew Rosenberg

I’ve been watching for a few years but finally joined the Patreon and so happy to be here, love following along on social media and having a sense of what videos might be coming soon

PSP Geezer

First, I agree with all the other commentors who enjoy your enthusiasm for transit (and diners), your ability to make even the most mundane places interesting, and all the fun little extras (like songs for bathroom reviews and trip reports). Also, I much appreciate your exhaustive documentation exposing both the good and bad things about the transit you use. Totally worth it to support your channel.

Hero-zero

Miles, we're do glad to have you man! Keep up the hard work! 💪🏾 you're doing so well!

Ryan 7-7

I love your videos but once again... mohr vermont content would probably get your channel up to a million subscribers because judging buy the amount of NY/NJ and MA license plates multi millions of people love vermont. So obviously vermont content would make your channel pop soooooo much more!

Norris Blackburn

So excited for the ultimate Canadian Dollars adventure

Yangzexuan Zhang

Bring back the Great Race series!!!

David Rosenstein

I’m not sure there’s anyone out there who cares about the content they make the same way you do. Your enthusiasm has gotten me to care about things I didn’t even think about before watching your channel. Can’t wait for 2026!

Benjamin Farah

I wonder if we could get you to come to South East Asia; plenty of interesting transit systems beyond the headliners.

Specific Language

Just became a patron after all these years, 100% worth it, your videos are so fun to watch. As a Boston native and a Seattle transplant it's awesome seeing so much love for both on the channel. Hope I can stop by a meetup one of these days :)

Kelly R

I have been a fan for years but only just caved and got the patreon! I have never been more glad to have signed up for one <3

Félix

Just finished watching the eleven hours of your odyssey from Mexico to Canada, and it was amazing, as always! Quite a strength to spontaneously create a video that long while still being very entertaining all along. Great to see that you're coming to Paris next year. I'm a fellow transit planner at Île de France Mobilités, so let me know if you need help or insights!

Essss

If you don’t marry this woman after all the nonsense she deals with, I’m questioning your judgment. Thanks for all the wonderful content you provide. It reminds me, I need to upgrade my Patreonage from Poor Bid level.

Amtrak Acela Productions

I'm am looking forward to the 12 hour director cut of crossing Canada by bus

Miles in Transit

Ugh, so unfortunately, we filmed this video on that kinda middle-period camera I had that has REALLY bad audio, so I don't see myself doing a director's cut for this one because it would require so much subtitling. The nice thing about the West Coast one was that I could just put it together without any effort, but here I'd have to mess with the audio a ton and I don't know if it's worth the time crunch...

Miles in Transit

We went to Paris last year, actually - I still need to edit all the videos we filmed! Really sorry we missed you, but you can correct us on all the stuff we got wrong at least!

Miles in Transit

Nothing planned right now unfortunately! But I would not have a hard time getting Aleena to go there someday - Vietnam is very much a bucket list country for her!

Miles in Transit

Thanks so much, Matthew! Usually I'd have videos up here a week early, but these big ones are taking a lot more time to put together!

Miles in Transit

Hey, I really appreciate the support - thanks for lending a bit of your college budget over! The Clipper Card video is going to be VERY fun.

Miles in Transit

Definitely got some Europe stuff coming up! Heck, I still have some videos from my Spain trip a few years ago I need to edit, including a high speed journey...

Miles in Transit

Unfortunately this was filmed on my middle-period camera with really terrible audio, so a directors cut would be a lot more effort to put together...I'm not sure if I'm prepared for that time commitment :(

Miles in Transit

This is possibly what I'm most proud of is being able to change people's vocabulary to conform to mine, heh heh heh >:) (thank you so much!!)

Miles in Transit

Duly noted! Definitely got a couple things planned, but alas my backlog is now so large that the limitation is slots rather than needing to pad things out with local stuff...

Miles in Transit

I visited Budapest with my family as a teenager and still call it the best transit system I've ever been on. I would LOVE to go back someday!

Miles in Transit

Wow, I really appreciate that!! Maybe someday, but I'm so grateful for the little community we've got now!

Miles in Transit

SAME GOES FOR YOU, STORMY!!! We gotta do the other Illinois trains! And I'm sure everyone's wondering what we got up to in Carbondale...

Robert Walker

St. Pierre is well worth the visit!

Cody Price

Thanks to your trackless trolley video, my 5 year old and I are exploring my home town via some of the same routes you and Jackson rode this Christmas. (He was also wildly entertained by your pronunciation of Meijer, and very happy to hear about the text at the bottom saying you figured it out)

Will

Miles, you're an inspiration! I'm grateful to you and other urbanist "usual suspects" (like Ray Delahanty) for opening me up to a life lived in the city, car-free, foaming trains and buses while talking about them nonstop to my friends (and anyone who will listen). Your DIY style, loyal friends/viewers' cameos and cavalcade of in-jokes make transit feel not just accessible, but normal (which isn't easy in a car-centered society like the USA). I hope to complete as many of the trips you have in the future (time and money allowing), that should provide a wealth of adventures to delight in!

Robert Welch

Your honourary Canadian status was strong before but now it’s absolutely unquestionable

Zyrian

Tbh I'm surprised you didn't have a Patreon already. With your output I thought this was your full time thing already

Ben Cox

Been following you since the early, early days of Miles on the MBTA (I grew up in Cambridge, a few years older than you, and kept hearing from various fellow transit enthusiasts about this funny kid who was reviewing bus stops...). Feel like it's about time I chipped in to support your work!

Sean Gibson

Love the channel! Great! If anyone would love to try a new channel about trains in China, i hugely recommend Out of Bounds. You can find their latest video by searching “Journey to China’s Westernmost Station”

Miles in Transit

Hahaha, that is AMAZING to hear! And I believe Dayton has electrified more of the routes now, so I hope you have better luck than us!

Chris Bailey

Hey it's Kriss just under my legal name ..... I finally made it sorry it's at the lower tier but as my health improves I shall climb the ranks!

Amanda Bruce

Got this as a gift from my hubs for Christmas - best gift ever! Miles, we love watching your videos (and as Clevelanders we appreciate your dealing with our super weird RTA)!

Milly Duarte

Yes! Clipper Cards 🎉 if you take the Golden Grate Transit don't forget to Tap on and Off. It can be expensive otherwise 😞
