This one's for all the people who said we should've gone to St. Pierre and Miquelon after our cross-Canada bus trip!

Also I noticed a lot of comments on the Z Train video saying I should do a video about the Chicago L - the full system deserves a dedicated video at some point, but here's a super old one you may not have seen where Jackson, a bunch of locals, and I did an uncut ride around the Chicago loop. Lots of local foamer knowledge with a similar format to the Z Train video! https://youtu.be/MUFcHoOtccg

I cannot wait to see you both toast with rosé while watching the France TV Programs! When you live in metropolitan France, like me, you can watch the Saint-Pierre et Miquelon public news broadcast, and of from any other “territoire d’outre-mer”. And yes, LU is a well-known cookie brand, originally from the city of Nantes but alas just like many brands they’ve been bought by Mondelez. Their most famous cookie is called “petit-beurre” (little-butter) and their logo has been drawn by French designer Raymond Loewy who has also drawn many famous logos like: Shell, Lucky Strike… (And now that’s a fun fact!)

Oh and I have to add that “Miquelon” is pronounced “mick-lon" (with the “on” sound just like badly imitating a French person laughing “hon-hon-hon” — but actually we do laugh like that it’s true)

0:51 TD bank machines recently started playing the TD jingle when they give out money, presumably to train people to associate the company with the happy feeling of receiving (your own) money.

Even the power sockets are the 100% authentic French ones with the earth pin sticking out of the socket. Other countries like Spain, Portugal, Germany etc have a very similar design but no earth pin sticking out like in France. I read they have 230v as well, so north american appliances like microwaves, coffee machines and toasters will not work but 230v versions are imported just for them!

To be fair, if they used NA power it would be more annoying for French people travelling domestically between SPM and metropolitan France.

Absolutely hilarious bit pointing out the "French" stop sign that's in English because France uses the English word, while in French Canada they use Arrêt. My grandparents used to summer in Newfoundland way back in the 40/50s and I've always wanted to go and check it out and this video is truly inspiring me to do just that so thank you!

During the summer, once a week, you can fly "domestically" from there to Paris nonstop!

New fan of the channel here. Great videos. Googling about this places led me to this article from The Guardian, which is fascinating, scary and sad. Hope the community perseveres. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/oct/28/canada-st-pierre-miquelon-relocation-climate-crisis-rising-tides-france-hurricanes
