The Dad Crew takes a break from the road to sit (or lay) down in a hotel room outside of Detroit and they get into some tour talk including the way that the first "completely improv" show set the tone for the tour, the best green rooms on the tour, how Beth felt after her first live musical performance in front of a crowd, and Freddie's guitar nightmare on stage.

Plus, they get into the latest episode of season three and take some questions from the audience. They talk about their favorite lines from the episode, the elaborate interrogation setup for next episode, and everyone's favorite urban legends.

I’ve seen many concerts, too, and I can say with absolute certainty that the Atlanta show was the most incredible live event I’ve ever experienced. It's funny how they mention all these green rooms and doing stuff in town and the show in Pelham, TN is literary the middle of fucking nowhere. 😂 So I have to assume they just had to spend all their time in the tour bus where they can't do number twos. 😭😂 I kind of wish they'd come into Nashville, cause the night life on a Friday can be so much fun (plus it's closer and the food is so much better). But I understand the appeal of playing in a cave.

Before this past Sunday I had never went to a live show, but i am eternally grateful that my first one was the Atlanta show. Watching Scam Likely dance battle a fan and Anthony/Freddy somehow do a home alone AND a weekend at bernie’s bit, will be 2 of the best memories i will enjoy on my death bed lol. Im genuinely considering trying to see their Europe tour. CANNOT RECOMMEND THEIR LIVE SHOWS ENOUGH!!!

We live between Nashville and Murfreesboro. The Pelham show was awesome and tbh I’d rather do the extra distance there than deal with the parking and traffic downtown. I’ve been to plenty of Friday shows at the ryman that took longer to get home from than the cave did. (And it didn’t cost us 20-30 bucks to park). Just my 2c. :/

Question for all the dads, but particularly interested to hear Beth’s thoughts. I had undiagnosed ADHD growing up. (a game changing diagnosis @25.) This has made it difficult to read/finish books even when I’m interested in the story. Last year, after starting your podcast, I’ve been able to listen to and even finish a few audiobooks. Although it is easier for me, I agree that the narrator can make or break an audiobook. I listened to The Immortal Soul Salvage Yard recently, and it was one of the easiest audiobooks to listen to. Beth felt so much like my inner monologue that I sometimes forgot I was listening to a book. (Not sure if that was due to her writing, narration, or both. But 😚🤌🏼🤌🏼) I am trying to become a “better reader”. Are there any books or audiobooks that you felt were particularly easy to consume? Do you have any other reading tips for someone with ADHD or attention span struggles? TLDR: ADHD makes it hard to read books, but I wannnnna reeeead. Any book recommendations and/or tips for increasing my literary consumption?

I listen to anything for enjoyment at 1x speed. At work I listen to anything and everything I can at 2x speed. The videos typically have a timer so you can't click off of the screen until the full length video is completed. So doing it at double speed allows me to have half the time of the "training" back to listen to Dungeons and Daddies, while it still looks like I am working. ;)

I also do that when I see people talking about articles. Also anytime I see something that I don’t agree with or someone is wrong (for example the iman khelif stuff) I go read an article or two to get actual statistics and evidence and then comment using said evidence and stats so that it’s not just my opinion or speculation. I feel like more people should do this kind of stuff before posting their thoughts.
