[Bonus] Kingdom Dad Monster - Ep. 5 - The Butcher's Bill (Patreon)

There is no time to hunt this year, as the fearsome Butcher approaches the lantern light of Nadpod.  Join the Nadite people as they face their first Nemesis battle.

5 Survivors will face the Butcher in order to protect all that they’ve built. And look at it! Look at how big our settlement has gotten! So many fancy new buildings and innovations. Nad Pod is getting too big to fail. Or so we hope.

THE NEMESIS

A Nemesis is a special, pre-scripted fight that progresses the overall story of Kingdom Death monster. This being the fifth year, means we fight our first nemesis - the Butcher.

 Look at this nasty dude. He uses faces as lamp shades.

Matt here, just saying this is one of my early miniatures. Freddie dunks on it in the video, and he is right. You can’t really tell those are faces on the lamps, can you? First off, I dont have clear lines between the skin and the glass, and the contrast is too weak. The skin really needs to get darker in the shadows and, the OSL effect isn't nearly bright enough to sell that they are lamps and... look, if we survive long enough to refight this guy, I will touch up the paint job. Okay?

THE FIGHT 

This is the layout of the battle. As you can see, the 5 survivors are placed on one edge, with the Butcher standing menacingly in the middle. To the bottom right, you find our savior, the Nightmare Tree.

Our dear Dr. Ges, doing their best to fend off the swinging cleavers of the butcher.

Woke Campus somehow evading the Butcher by laying down behind a tree. 

Finally nasty card we all are grossed out by. Pretty cool art if you ask me.
