I find It interesting that Gellert began to consider that he could be defeated just when he start to rely less on the elder wand. Of course, he sustained defeat after defeat as of late, and that play a role here, but he had always found a way to arrogantly play it off before. Maybe he really was under the influence of the elder wand… And Dumbledore too in the prime timeline in an different way which would explains all the morally debatable things he decided and did when Harry was concerned… As for the problem of Tom, is it possible for Harry to sent his snake shadow to spy on him now that Minerva is away from Hogwarts? Ah! I might think « Peter Pan » too much on that one! *grin* Great chapter as always.
