Final Round of Poll!
- The Reaver's Legacy 776
- Veteran 608
Again, below is the information for the 2 most popular options from the previous poll.
Do feel free to ask questions in the comments and I will clarify as much as possible without giving away too many spoilers.
The Reaver’s Legacy
Pairing: TBD
Rating: M
Upon receiving the invisibility cloak during his first year, Harry quickly realises that this is no normal artefact. It begins to show him glimpses of the lives of those that have owned it before him, of a world that existed long before the one he had been born into, and even snatches of a future yet to be decided.
Harry quickly learns that much rests upon his shoulders, but with the guidance of the cloak, he is hopeful that it will not be him that falls victim to the fickle mistress that is fate…
This story will involve the Hallows quite heavily. It will explore and expand on the lore of them individually and as they pertain to the bearer being ‘The Master of Death’ when brought together collectively.
There is so much to this story that I cannot hope to cover everything in this synopsis, but it will diverge from canon in places where decisions that Harry make will carry consequences.
Feel free to comment with any questions and I will answer them as best I can without spoiling the story.
Veteran
Pairing: Harry/Andromeda
Rating: M
The war had not gone to plan. How could it have when there was no plan to begin with?
Even when all was said and done and Harry managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, life did not treat him any kinder.
As a 20-year old-veteran, he had tried to make do with his lot, tried to move on from the horrors of war, but he couldn’t.
Those he cared for had moved on with their lives whereas Harry found himself stuck in a rut, alone and apathetic to the world around him.
He never wanted plaudits nor even gratitude for what he had done and all he had sacrificed, he merely wished to be left alone.
That would not happen here.
Deciding that there was nothing for him to lose, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his godfather, only to find himself in a new yet familiar world, though faces of the dead that haunted him were very much alive here.
Harry arrives in the early 1970s, tired of life and tired of war, but can he truly avoid the inevitable as it once more rears its ugly head?
A/N
This is not fully canon compliant and will use flashbacks to explain events of Harry’s past as the story progresses.
This Harry is already hardened by war, heartbreak, and loss, so do not expect a happy-go-lucky protagonist.
It will be quite dark in places and contain several adult themes throughout.
Although there may be some similarities in setting to SB and WOAR, this is a very different story to both.
