Hmm, is she not buried with the peverels because she is actually Harry's maternal great great... etc grandmother? She had the same shade of eyes as Harry which would give him a connection to the Gaunts and make his parseltongue ability natural.

I really liked Harry/Gawain's interaction with Carys. These experiences will be another reason why Harry acts more mature. He has some of the memories (emotions and all) of some of his Peverell ancestors. I would expect he will take teenage drama less seriously when he has memories of parenting teenagers, but he still has a 13 year old body and teenage hormones can cause brain malfunctions. Great chapter.

This chapter was actually pretty interesting. I’m hoping for a closer Harry/Sirius bond, personally. I especially enjoy each character’s characterization; it’s really spot-on while simultaneously expanding into each character. I’m excited to see what’s next.
