I started writing this story because I couldn't find a story that did specifically what I was looking for, but I'm curious as to what else is out there that's comparable. Feel free to post below!

I'd recommend A Practical Guide to Sorcery, it's very well written.

I have been debating about saying this, because what will it change? I will only get arguments that I cannot reply to (physically cannot). Everybody has their own opinion on stories. This is mine and the other side of this coin. Eh, A Practical Guide to Sorcery's plot and world development are terrible, in my opinion. The beginning has some, but most of that wears off quickly and then you don't see the rest of the world impacting the story plot at all. There is a very narrow window of what actually effects the plot. That starts picking up later as she slowly (very slowly) starts developing characters and organizations. Even with their development, their impact on things is... better than none, but crude.

Omg I forgot about the best book in recent history. And it's a finished book. You should read slumrat rising. One of the most interesting and unique takes on cultivation recently. 10/10 book up there with Mother of Learning and The Perfect run.

Recently reading skillgrinder in a time loop. It's honestly pretty good. I came into it expecting a standard isekia but it's not even an isekia. Power scaling is kind of whack but would recommend.
