The way I've got it now, Chapter 218 is the end of book 3. However, it's still possible I do some edits to mess around with the ending so that it's properly satisfying. Feel free to comment your feelings on the matter! Are there things that feel like they should have been covered in book 3 that weren't? Plot threads that don't feel properly wrapped up? (Certainly, there's things that aren't wrapped up intentionally that will be covered in the next books). Feel free to also discuss what things you're looking forward to or your wildest theories! I don't have beta readers or anything, so comments help me know if something is unclear or not landing quite right.

As before, there will be no pause; the next chapter and the start of book 4 will release Sunday as usual. It is, after all, also a serial, with each book designed to flow right into the next one. For now, I'm able to sustain this pace of writing. And as always, thanks for supporting me here so that this series is possible! I'm still absolutely blown away by the reception it's gotten. Thanks a million! :)

Book 3 was great! The only plot thread that feels unintentionally unexplored is what Mirian should call herself; it is explicitly said that Naluri doesn’t feel right either, but it still feels like that could be explored quite a bit further. Now I think about it, though, that ‘either’ might actually be leading to another plot point… in retrospect, it doesn’t actually feel unintentionally unexplored, but I’ll leave the above there just in case it’s still useful.

I think "Mirian" is fine. The flavour of that name is forever altered because of this character. Calling her Naluri would be off putting, to me at least.

I really enjoyed book 3 and I am really looking forward to the potential conflict between Mirian and Ibrahim from her not sharing the secret of relicarium. I think if you decide to turn that into a fight scene it would be awesome!

I think it would work if she started calling herself Naluri Miriam or Miriam Naluri. That way she respects both parts of her life.

I believe that the ultimate decision to share it/or not would only come during the next prophet council. I believe, given her prior discussion with her father about exploiting advantages ultimately leading to downfall that she goes with sharing the information. And given that they only met a single loop ago, one that Ibrahim immediately wanted to conclude, I find it hard to blame her for not immediately sharing such an info (at least coming from him, as for the other prophets… well, I’m even willing to believe that if she frames it as compassion for his wife he could be the only one actually not blaming her for keeping secrets). Actually, I’m kind of dissatisfied that the council wasn’t part of this chapter, but hopefully the next book opens with it… after all it isn’t like we are going to wait years for another book ;)

I really like this ending and its a great point to start into a new book. I am just looking forward to the mysteries in general. This Book really solved the mytery around who Mirian is (and some others), but it feels like book 4 will really start to uncover more around the ominian, elder things, etc. Also looking forward to more prophet interactions. It started a little, but now it feels like in some way they will interact a lot more. Anyway thanks for so many amazing chapters

Congrats on finishing book 3! I got chills reading Mirian's experience of viewing her planet from space. Definitely feels like a good stopping point, which is somewhat of a rarity in serial fiction. So often it feels like an arbitrary cutoff, but not here.

oh man, so many new theories going into book 4! - Liuan was hidding some very critical info, I wonder what else she was hiding? - Jherico said they struck at him after Miriam went into hiding, but with this discovery I wonder if that was the actual reason. - who's needle is it that returned? And why? Did someone give it up freely after (assumingly) completing their task? Or did someone else figure out how to extract a needle? - Who was the figure she saw on top of the mausoleum? And why did she see them there for a moment, when she didn't at the start of the dream or afterwards? Is it the omnian's intent or is there an other reason?

So I'm a little confused on the timeline of the Prophets and the cataclysm. I think it goes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prophets, then cataclysm, 4th, 5th, and 6th Prophets, then the present day. Or did all the Prophets come after the cataclysm?

All the Prophets came after the Cataclysm. That's a separate event from the collapse of the Persaman Triarchy, which happened sometime after the 2nd Prophet

I think she should check out the armor and rod out in the plaza when she can and cherish her father, probably keep him as secret as she can because due to his method of life he is strong but vulnerable.

Book three was incredible and I'm looking forward to four! I hope her father can bring her even further! I love magical progression and this book delivers that in spades.

Maybe I read it wrong, but it sounded like the person she saw was on top of the mausoleum. So she only saw them after finally opening the doors, going outside, and turning around to look up. Plus there's a gate up there, so maybe she only saw them for a sec because they used the gate??

Congratulations on another completed book!! The one thing I was surprised to not see explored was the ring hidden in the drawer of her adoptive family's home. It sounds like we now know that's a soul focus, but I was surprised Mirian didn't go back to check it out during this arc focused on rediscovering her past

gosh i love this story, the world building is so awesome and well thought out, the wonderful interconnected nature of every single thing is so satisfying in a way i haven't really seen before. I'm very excited to explore the other continents and meet more prophets, who might even be less suspicious of everyone all the time haha. i really hope the council of prophets coming up helps broker some real comraderie, even if only between some. the prophets shouldnt have to feel so alone still :(. im rambling, anyways this is one of my favorite stories of all time and im certain my vrain is forever altered by it

My theory is she will find a new name for herself. She is not Mirian anymore but nor is she Naluri. Even more self-discovery to occur in the Not-Chinese Lands of Zhighua

I don't feel it made sense to leave Ibrahim alive (spike un-removed) after she finally met him and after he explained about his wife. Either way he would go on to kill a lot of people who didn't deserve it. I feel like the end of the book left everything in question. Literally everything. Considering the time aspect, the mask of the other prophet that can make one person completely appear to be another, and the suspense factors set up, I dont see how anything couldnt be in question. It leaves me with an icky feeling and a desire to maybe not continue reading the stoey.

Based on the evidence presented, it seems that Mirian will be the only Prophet to emerge from the loop. I assume the first prophets may have had others in the loop with them, but for some reason, only one ever emerged. This could have been necessary to save the Ominian, or perhaps the rules of the loop dictate that only one can make it out. At some point, everyone will likely need to remove the device from their soul simply in order to die. No matter how long they live, as long as the device remains, they will continue repeating. One major clue is the repeated mention of prophets throughout history—yet there’s never any indication that they shared the loop with others. That idea is consistently reinforced. I’m really excited to see where this story goes, and I love that it explores the true horror of simply living for a long time. There was a YouTube video released recently—an interview with Americans over the age of 100. One individual said, “Time hangs heavy on my hands. All of my loved ones, friends, and family are gone—yet I remain.” This book, I feel, fully explores that concept. To me, it’s an idea that’s central to the notion of time loops but is often overlooked or poorly explored. Here, though, it’s handled with depth and weight.
