Some updates for Build 7 (Patreon)

Hey, Chordies!

Just wanna give you some updates on Build 7/Episode 7.

• Writing is nearing completion. I'll be honest, I've been stumped a few times with this one 😅. I'm on the tail end though! I'm wrapping up the last couple thousand words.

• Sprites are done! There wasn't too much sprite-work that needed to be done. Most of the assets from Build 6 are being reused. Right now, we're taking some time to spruce up the ones we currently have.

• New CG is being worked on! We're inching towards getting this piece done. Think you all are really gonna like it :3.

• VA work will begin after writing is done. No new characters this time around, so the voice cast you know and love will remain as-is!

• We're working on updating and refining Chester's backyard background. We're also working on illustrating some long-overdue backgrounds.

• Aiming to have the review copy ready by mid-April.

One last note. I was trying my best to get a review copy out this upcoming weekend, but that's most certainly not happening. This harps on a goal I had at the beginning of the year. I wanted to publish four builds of Chord Progressions during 2025. I'm already missing the mark by not having something ready for March.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like four builds in a year is possible. The workflow me and my team possess has a speed limit, it seems. Three builds a year seems to be our sweet-spot of comfort and productivity. I hate to dial back some of my goals, but I think this is for the best. I don't want to push myself or my team harder than necessary.
