Maybe It's not trunks but a version of Trunks who is one of the Demon Emperors; perhaps it's one of the demon realm channels/version of a Future Trunks and the immense amount of suffering he's had to endure as one of the last survivors in his universe. Perhaps it's the same character with Green eyes we've seen foreshadowed in the first demon realm episodes . ;)

Exactly as this trunks is more advanced and he obviously came to help goku and them to stop lucif plan from successing like it did in his timeliness. That is the only reason why he came to yhr current timeline to warn goku of the danger of lucif great plan that he doesn't need the full truth behind.

Yamoshi becoming a demon god would, I guess, make the gods in the realm of gods, angels, and dragons very angry. I thought the candy beam would only capture the energy and, if needed, activate it. Also, it's weird for Yamoshi to think that Vegito would definitely need the demon's energy.

Trunks is from a different timeline where goku dies from heart virus manages to somehow defeat everyone and go through similar events to ultra vegito or grand priest trained him or could be time patrol trunks that vegito absorbed and separated like goku and vegeta did idk
