Unfortunately, I don't think Tye will stick around. He strikes me as the deadbeat baby daddy type. Which is sad because as capable as Beth is a second parent would help.

From what little we've seen of him, I can see him as being peripheral and occasionally helpful but not there on a day to day basis. He'll probably get more comfortable with the idea as he and the kid get a little older and he gets to do fun 'dad' stuff like take him fishing.

The best thing would be for him to take responsibility and be present in everyday life and not be out there messing with everything that moves. Although I honestly don't see him as a very responsible person and I doubt he would be capable of leading a daily family life.
