Can't wait for more of this story. You would be surprised by the lack of stories that give "All for One" the quirk to the MC.

Oh, I liked this. I liked it a lot. I'd love to see it continue, but that's up to you.

Rogue

You should definitely build off of this. It’s a great plot

I'm sorry to hear that you're motivation for the series is tanking like that. Its a sad fact that sometimes authors have THEIR vision for the end even if it isn't the best end for a series. Hori always wanting Izuku to be the underdog really turned me off from the series. I'll stick to the fan stories. Keep up the great work! If you want some inspiration, and haven't seen them already, there is a pair of stories about mathematically correct Izuku, which are funny, on Ao3 by shadowj6480. https://archiveofourown.org/users/shadowj6480/pseuds/shadowj6480

I really liked this story premise. I've seen the One for All is the same quirk as All for One before, but it's normally a case where the first user didn't actually have a quirk and All for One's quirk factor was stockpiled by the Stockpiling quirk and expressed itself as the transfer ability. A pity that Izuku's attempt at a quirk duplication glitch didn't pan out but Eri being the one to cure All Might, instead of Izuku himself doing it with Overhaul, has the advantage of showing her that her power isn't a disease or a curse and that it can help save people like she was saved. I am sorry about your problems with writing Emerald Phoenix. I hope that the sharing background with canon Izuku issue doesn't impact your writing of other canon adjacent ideas like this one or Critical Overcharge, which I still hope you will continue someday. I also hope that being too overpowered doesn't end up impeding your ideas, because even in canon a lot of quirks if used competently or without sudden inexplicable nerfs would have been overpowered and guaranteed curbstomps. Thanks for the chapter, I look forward to what ideia you will post next or a continuation of this one if you decide to, even if it's just a conclusion.

Honestly, I’m glad to see my thoughts basically mirrored in your Authors note. The premise for MHA is fantastic but Hori just bungled everything over the course of the story. There were no consequences, no payoffs, and no real theme or character progression in the story. The ending was definitely atrocious and undercut the premise of Izuku being capable of being a hero. Him becoming a teacher was such a bad idea, especially since he doesn’t show any inclination towards that in the story. I continue with the fandom mainly because of writers like you, who put out much more coherent and engaging works. ETA: Would love to see a longer work from you based on Two for all or this story.

You do whatever you need to do to help your creative process, my favorite story of yours might just be Supernova, but I read a lot of your other stuff too!

"He learned nothing. He didn’t try to push on despite losing One For All. He didn’t continue trying to be a Hero. He settled until someone handed him a way to pick back up where he left off. Legitimately, not exaggerating even the slightest bit, he became the Deku everyone made him out to be in middle school." I really like your writing style and ideas, but I feel like this comment of yours is small minded. Why would Izuku need to "push on" after losing OFA? There were plenty of heroes around and no super villain to fight against. He already accepted that he won't be a hero like his classmates when he gave up OFA, he already HAD struggled. He already became the greatest hero for defeating the greatest villain. Him trying to stay as a hero after losing OFA just comes off as a guy past his prime trying to grasp on to his glory days in a futile effort. I certainly didn't want Izuku's story to go that way. Izuku had always been a very analytical person, him becoming a teacher is not far fetched at all. Trying to futilely return to his glory days < teaching the next generation to become heroes. Was All might useless after losing his quirk? Did he lose the influence that he had on the masses? Maybe on the villains, but certainly not on the heroes and civilians. They all looked up to him and it was directly stated that his death would have been a turning point in history, even after losing OFA. I do agree that his friends not having much contact with him and using the excuse of "they were funding/building his suit" is stupid as shit, Horikoshi lost the plot. Deku getting the suit was him being able to experience being a full on pro hero with his friends, but it never became the only thing he did. It was made clear that Izuku WANTED to be a teacher at that point and only was a hero as more of a hobby. "Legitimately, not exaggerating even the slightest bit, he became the Deku everyone made him out to be in middle school." I must admit, this last line really ruffled my feathers. Let's see where you would have been without teachers in your life. Him becoming a teacher is helping society in a different way than being a hero, calling him useless because of that is just... wow. I really have no words. You probably don't care about this comment and that's completely fine, but my opinion of you as a writer has changed a bit.

But narratively he did in fact learn nothing. His glory days were one year, where he had very poor educational role models. Izuku never wanted to be a teacher. He WANTED to be a hero and only a hero. Hori completely screwed the story by making him settle for being a teacher, and then giving that up the second he got an option. It’s not about denigrating teachers. It’s the fact that the text NEVER showed that he wanted or even cared about being a teacher. An epilogue with him still being a hero but like Nezu or Nighteye would’ve been much better w/ his analytical skills. Hori messed up the story on his own by breaking the premise he started with and throwing away any and all themes that could’ve been shown in the epilogue. Promising A as an epilogue and then giving readers something completely different is not a good payoff. Especially if it is counter to your own characters motivations.

Another great story. Yeah, I agree with you about canon. I mean, you have Knuckleduster, who pretty much shows what Izuku should have become, putting aside the vigilante bit. Sad to see EP go, but I get it. While much better, MHA is kind of like RWBY or Hazbin Hotel: so much potential, poor execution, but good fanfiction writers can work wonders with it. For Tomura... I know you say you don't give a shit, but since he's kind of a major character, might I suggest going a route like Kaleidoscope by Dripbayless. Great story, though Izuku's quirk is kind of OP like EP Izuku, I don't think it's nearly as much so. (Also, they make Inko a badass retired pro hero who uses her attraction of small things quirk on peoples ORGANS and can dust people by using it on molecules). He starts out about the same, but he actually matures, grows and thinks about things. It's been a while since I read it, so I can't recall how, but he ultimately figures out All For One is playing him. Combined with learning Inko is Nana's daughter, making Izuku his cousin, he betrays All For One during his final fight with All Might and reforms his league into Anti-Heroes who expose corruption(except for Dabi and Toga. The former for obvious reasons, the latter because she's MORE broken than canon to the point of having a split personality). He actually becomes somewhat protective of Inko and Izuku, being proud of the hero the latter is becoming and pissed when the Safety Commission targets the latter for rocking the boat too much. Also, since he really cares about his comrades, he very quickly fixes Twice's identity problem. I'd almost recommend giving it a read just for what happens to Overhaul and All For One(who gets a richly deserved humiliation conga). I hope you can find inspiration to get over that hurdle, if not there then elsewhere.

To me the way to deal with a op MC seems to be to focus on the world around the fight, time passing, dealing with life, fallout from fights, relationships etc
