yup! this is happening rn to my roommate in philadelphia. lady backed into her car going about 5mph… no damage so police weren’t called. over a YEAR later the lady is suing her and is claiming neck pain. big issue for my roommate because there is no police report of the accident. stay safe out there… the lie criers are out and about.

It was a thing here (UK) about 20 years ago , people would lurk outside pubs , "stage" a rear ended collision with cars leaving the pub, and then insist on calling the cops. 9/10 the victim driver was close or over the alcohol limit and therefore got completely screwed, even though they had not caused any accident . Dashcams/awarenss killed it off after a while . They was a survey of whiplash claims in the UK which showed the 'weakest necks' were people aged 20 in v poor areas ...how odd. France banned whiplash claims under 30mph how smart ...

It's wild to me how people can snap so badly that they ruin their lives within a few minutes. (2nd clip) Reminds me of the guy that drove through the parade, and the realization of 'what have I done.' shame we don't get to see the tow truck theif have the same experience
