I had this weird experience coming back to my hometown after my first year of university. One guy I used to hang out with showed up to say hi, and we had a moment to ourselves on the porch, sitting and drinking while we caught up. He had dyed his hair black, and when he saw me looking at it, he said with this peculiar grin, "Yeah dude, I've changed." It was the same grin and attitude I'd seen a thousand times before.
