It's not messy, it's lived-in!

Ricky is a big slob and I hear from everyone that's an indication of big top energy. Maybe there's something to that.

This is the original draft I did like two years ago. I think Ricky is more "messy" than "dirty" now, so I will update accordingly. I think Laurie will also peek down the hall past the bathroom to see the bedroom, but Ricky is going to interrupt Laurie before Laurie can look at the bedroom. 

The reason Ricky sleeps in the main room of the trailer is because his grandma's room is in the bedroom, and although we will learn she has died awhile ago, he has kept it the way she did. The reader won't learn that this page yet; it's too much of a contrast to the current energy!
