That was intentional! It's always been the case that voting on the end of month poll is a perk for the $3+ backers.

The point of asking people to wait one month is to avoid the common practise of fake sign-ups where the support is immediately cancelled to avoid paying anything. Since the payment period is still coming up, you'll have to wait a little longer still. If that's inconvenient for you, you're welcome to cancel your backer status.
