DxD Chapter 85: Sibling x Spar (Patreon)

~Serafall Leviathan~

"Yahoo~ Taku-tan, Your magical girl elder sister delivery service has arrived~!" Sera emerged from the main teleportation circle in Takumi's mansion, dressed in full magical girl attire while Takumi was expecting her, lounging on the living room couch with a cup of tea in his hands.

Serafall was currently in a very good mood after seeing her shy sister embrace her inner magical girl that she always desired to become but was too shy to realise. Truly, her new brother was truly one of mind with her, it would take a blind man to not see their younger sister's charm.

"Welcome Sera-nee. I thought you would be a little more busy." Sera stilled for a moment, looking at Takumi's face. He looked different, in fact, his whole vibe seemed to have changed. She could still tell it was still Takumi but now he had reddish hair and green eyes and looked considerably more handsome than before as he sipped his tea calmly.

Before if he gave off the vibe of someone who barely had their shit together and felt like a tightly wound spring, he seemed now way more well put together and easygoing. The change in the way he held himself was very noticeable.

"Taku-tan, did you get a makeover without telling big sis? You hurt my heart~! Do I have to worry about you becoming a delinquent now? I really like the new color scheme though." Takumi just chuckled and shook his head, humouring her act.

"Kind of, makeover is the right word. I completely rebuilt my body, and thanks to that, I managed to reach Ultimate rank. I also may have stopped being a devil, somewhat. It's complicated."

Sera cradled her chin and nodded thoughtfully, she wasn't too surprised, she could tell he was at around that level from his presence alone. She would have been more surprised if it were someone else but Takumi already violated logic daily.

Seeing her rather insubstantial reaction Takumi's lips narrowed to a thin line, looking like he was almost pouting.

"You know, I expected more of a reaction when I revealed that I completely rebuilt my body like Frankenstein and became an ultimate class."

Serafall shrugged and coed at Takumi's adorable reaction.

"Honestly, Taku-tan, do you think I think so little of you? You becoming Ultimate rank wasn't a question of if but of how many weeks." Takumi scratched the back of his head at her matter-of-fact words "So, what race did you become anyway? It better not be an angel or that would cause so many problems for me."

She could already feel the headache that would come her way if Takumi did that, especially considering how weirdly insistent heaven was already with trying to contact or reach Takumi for some reason, she almost had to beat them off with a stick. She didn't want to think about what would happen if he became an angel.

Takumi seemed to deliberate for a few moments, likely thinking about how to explain himself simply before speaking.

"To put it simply, I rebuilt my body as basically a blood-related son of Ddraig by fusing with the Boosted Gear fully and also fusing a lot of Bloodline Abilities into my body. Basically, I am what you would get if you had Ddraig have children with the Phenex, Sitri and Baraqiel with only the positive parts of all of them."

"Huh." Serafall was finally rendered speechless.

She couldn't even begin to fathom how something like that could have even been conceived. That was actual cartoonish levels of insanity, but at the same time, she felt if she asked she wouldn't receive an answer she could understand.

So, she just decided to file that away in her mental cabinet named 'Shit Takumi does that can't' be explained' and forget about it. The essence of the matter was, her little brother just got stronger which was a cause for celebration.

"Wow! Congratulations Taku-tan, I'm assuming that's why you called me here?" Takumi nodded.

"Yes, although on paper I know what I am capable of, I don't know how that translates to practicality. So I wanted to spar with you to see how strong I am and how well I fare."

Sera nodded excitedly, she may not be a battle maniac or a fighting enthusiast but she was eager to see just how good Takumi was for herself. She puffed up her chest in pride and pointed with her thumb.

"Then leave it to big sis! I know a lot of wastelands that are scattered around the underworld that I decimate when I'm frustrated, we can use those place." She reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Let's go~!"

"We're here! There is nothing as far as the eye can see around here so feel free to go wild to your heart's content!"

Serafall spread her arms and gestured to the giant stretch of tan wasteland around them like they were in Drag So-Ball. The underworld was massive, even larger than the earth and the population of Devils and Fallen Angels were less than that of Humans, this led to there being vast stretches of unused land in the underworld, of course, the resource-rich ones were taken by nobles the ones in question had nothing remarkable inside. And where they were was a massive wasteland that extended for over a thousand kilometres, almost as large as Rome. And this was a smaller one, she just chose it since it was out of the way.

"I see, I appreciate it Sera-nee. So, should we get started? I am having a hard time holding myself back." He said with a grin on his face that seemed almost ominous, but Serafall was more than happy to indulge and they quickly decided on the terms of the spar.

They would start at a distance of 5km apart and the spar wouldn't be stopped until Takumi said the safe word. And Sera wouldn't play around, there was no real risk of Takumi being maimed since he was immortal.

"Ready when you are Taku-tan!" Sera said while twirling her wand, knowing that Takumi would her somehow even in that distance, and his actions showed as suddenly giant wings of light shaped like those of a dragon erupted from his back, making Sera's eyebrows raise. The very air around them had changed the moment his wings unfurled.

'His aura is strong!'

If Serafall had to compare it, it felt like the Aura of a Cadre mixed with Fafnir's. The giant wings of light clearly weren't for show as holy lightning crackled between Takumi's fingers.

Baraqiel's lightning that all devils feared, even Sirzech's wouldn't want to take a direct hit from it but Takumi's was magnitudes weaker, but she still didn't want to get hit by it directly.

'My brother has become a little monster hasn't he?'

Serafall smirked and twirled her wand as Takumi sent a wave of violent lightning toward her, the wave extended for hundreds of meters and annihilated everything in its path. Any ordinary high devil would find it hard to survive it, but she wasn't ordinary or a high-class devil.

"Sorry Taku-tan~ you'll need to try harder than that to faze big sis~" Sera pointed her magical wand toward the wave.

"Snap Freeze!"

And then frigid energy instantly spread out from her body faster than the time it took lightning to crawl and defy all physics, her magic froze the lightning, freezing it in place, creating lightning ice sculptures. It was almost too easy, but that was to be expected.

She had killed dozens of ultimate ranks herself.

Takumi smirked.

"I guessed not, then how about this!"

He raised his hand to the sky and a giant orb of flame was conjured above, casting an image as if the sun itself had come down on the earth. The orb was the size of a skyscraper, and then he vanished.

Sera felt the mana fluctuate behind her, spinning around to see Takumi throwing the orb from close range at her, a neat trick, teleportation shouldn't be that fast but...

"Good try! Ice Blast!"

Serafall waved her wand and a burst of frigid energy clashed with the miniature sun and destroyed it, also sending Takumi flying back from the impact. Seeing Takumi's eyebrow twitched as Sera commended smugly to rouse up his fighting spirit.

"Ara~? Is that all you got Taku-kun? Nee-san is barely warmed up you know~"

Takumi closed his eyes and laughed.

"Right, I should've guessed cheap tricks wouldn't work on you." Serafall had already faced dozens of tricks before when fighting her fellow devils to the death for dozens of years, it was to catch her off guard to say the least.

"If you are gonna just freeze them all, I just have to make it stronger!" Takumi's figure vanished and appeared several kilometres away as Sera stood ready.

"Annihilation Wave!" Takumi held out his hand and felt the magic power thrum in his veins, he let it go full blast this time. No restraints or holding back.

Hellfire and Ruler's Authority combined. Rulers Authority gave him the ability to control matter with his mana, and hellfire was hellfire, guided by his knowledge of transmutation what was left was-

-Heat, pure, sweltering heat. As much as he could unleash, a wall of pure heat formed and expanded, a solid telekinetic wall of force with heat enough to vaporise steel from half a kilometre moved forward faster than a bullet and wider than a dam.

1000°C... 3000C°C... 8000°C... 11000°C

The wall got hotter and hotter until it went beyond the surface of the sun, from Sera's perspective the attack Takumi unleashed looked less like a wall of fire and more like a continuous nuclear fireball that turned the earth around it into lava and plasma as it advanced toward her.

Even she wouldn't be able to tank that head-on without any damage. Sera shed a single tear and wiped it from her eye.

'They grow up so fast~'

But her eyes shone with a cold pink glint as her own magical power surged, dwarfing even Takumi's in potency, cold energies swirled on her wand as she swung.

"Frozen Brilliance!"

A wave of impossibly cold energy surged, a spell that she once used to annihilate swarms of devil warriors and magicians, it was a wave of ice and frost that would devour everything in it, people and magic alike.

Boooom!

It was a catastrophe, waves of power and steam rolled off from the point where the hot and cold met, and literal tens of kilometres of land were flattened by the shockwave and steam. On Takumi's side, the ground was boiling lava and plasma while on Serafall's side, it was so cold that the ground was no longer just frozen but reduced to powder.

Eventually, Serafall's wave broke through Takumi's heatwave, tearing through it and blasting Takumi back from the remainders of the power. Serafall briefly wondered about Takumi's safety before seeing him get up in pretty short order even after getting hit by her ice.

"Urgh... I guess I am still not at your level yet Sera-nee." He breathed heavily from exhaustion from trying to match her frost but then he smiled, she noticed that his teeth and eyes were gradually getting more draconic as they fought.

"That was impressive Taku-tan, not many people are able to force me to go that serious you know? But are you sure you wanna keep going? I'm good with a break if you are." Immortal or not, Serafall did not want to hurt Takumi too badly but he simply smiled like a feral.

"Hell no, I'm just warming up." Serafall felt a hint a spite in those words. "Since I got used to my new body a little more, I should finally be able to pull it off." Suddenly the air got more serious as Takumi smirked.

"Time for phase 2. Sera-nee, I hope you can keep up."

"Boost."

A/N: Sera meets the new and improved Takumi who miraculously seems to have at least some of his shit together and she likes it. Also, I wonder what the heavens are trying to find Takumi for? Surely that's not important.

Takumi and Sera finally throw down and it goes about as well as expected. But Takumi was also in the process of getting used to his abilities and specs. Now that he got a proper handle for his power its time to reach the second phase.

What did you guys think about the first part of the fight? I tried to demonstrate that while Takumi is strong now he is still not on the same stage as someone like Serafall. Did you like it? Have any idea about how things could go down? I would love to know.
