Actually, Nick, what you want to see is the dynamics of Team 7 in their mission in the Kara actualization arc (episodes 157-175, canon anime) right before this vessel arc... and that enemy is a very formidable opponent for Team 7.

That boring delta and code scene wasnt even in the manga, they add a lot of kara stuff in the anime so we get to know the characters better I guess... but it didn't turn out well. Also in the manga, boruto at the end used his lightsaber to cut off Ao's leg and arm, very cool

Honestly if Nic really appreciates the characters grow, he really missed out on Deepa arc battle for Boruto and Sarada. The final Animation was top notch.
