The King of Summer - v 0.5.11-early now out for Dandy Patrons! (And above) (Patreon)

Fans of Rin, rejoice! For her story is back!

And while Kaoru takes on the duty of delivering in the flashback and story front, Mary gets to see some special girl-on-girl action too!

Because what better way to learn how to get mushy with women than to practice with one?

After focusing for so long in that story sequence where everything was kinda emotional and/or dark, it was nice to go back in time and check up on a happy-go-lucky Kendo, and of course, to finally make progress on Rin's storyline!

Her plot is one I've been dropping and picking back up for a while. You Rin fans will be grateful to know that I intend to finish her story this time. In fact, there's only one scene left! Just like with Natsuki's and Hanako's, it'll be fairly long, with multiple parts. I intend to spread it out throughout the full update and next early release.

So I tackle a few things in this release. The most important one for future events is, I think, Kaoru and Takumi's relationship as siblings. Takumi is a pathetic human being, but he wasn't always this way. Kinda. He may have been, but he hid it a little bit better. He is Kaoru's only tether to the way she's been living her life so far. In a way, her justification for choosing to never try anything new, for always settling and not looking for what really stirs her heart. Kaoru is probably the more "normal" of the side heroines, and her main issue is likewise very grounded. She's not the kind of girl who can get her problems solved by good sex. At least, not JUST by good sex.

The other thing I wanted to explore was Rin's more unhinged side, which I think I managed to do successfully. The h-scene was meant to be a tad shorter, with only the first half existing. But since Mary was already involved, why not add Satoshi to the mix? He makes a brief appearance to add more of the NTR spice into the mix. He got his good ending a few weeks ago, so he deserves to be dunked on in a classic manner a little, right? The 2nd part of the h-scene came to me as I slept last night, which is why it took me a bit longer to release. Hopefully it was worth it!
