The King of Summer - v 0.5.13-early now out for Dandy Patrons! (And above) (Patreon)

A little late, but a wait worth having! Mary and Arato proceed with their fancy date, and Satoshi keeps a close watch... How will he react to the way Mary appears to be changing?

That is indeed the question! I debated for a while whether to include Satoshi in this particular outing, but I thought it would add to the scene to have him completely humiliate himself just to make sure he can see what Mary and Arato is up to.

Right now, whether he's doing this out of jealousy, insecurity, ambivalence or perhaps a little enjoyment is up to you to interpret. It could go either way, who knows.

As you may be able to glean, this date is even longer than the last one, with much more stuff happening. It's the final story sequence before the big Arato finale for a reason: here's where Mary will awaken to her newfound desires and joys, as Arato accepts her as his girl to the detriment of Satoshi.

I used a throwaway character model for Arato's show of strength in Kendo Ending 2, which was useful here as well as I got to make use of her once more. Will we see a little bit more of this completely normal girl? You bet!

But that's not everyone we'll see.

There's been a few cameos. One of them is more incidental, that of a character that'll feature heavily in the next longer project (the one I'll start working on once I finish KoS).

And then there's Natsuki. Will there be some Arato x Natsuki action, after all? The answer will be given to you... in two weeks, aprox.
