Hey everyone! I hope you're doing ok!

Here's April's exclusive!

Ok so I'll be honest I only remember watching one or two episodes of this show back when it aired, so when I saw the suggestion "Older Manny and Frida" my brain started thinking of what they'd look like at 17.

It was only after I was already done that I found that apparently they already have older/adult designs 😭

Anyway, for their date I thought it'd be fun to draw them going for some Elotes and Esquites. Also tried to emulate Jorge R. Gutierrez's style. It was very fun!

Damn, I remember watching El Tigre with my niece; good times. Definitely one of the best cartoons Nick had at the time. Anyway, great art Kaban! Your designs of Many and Frida look really cool, and I think you nailed emulating Jorge Gutierrez's style while still keeping that signature Kaban atmosphere of just good vibes. Great work! Also, what are Many and Frida eating? I can't really make out the sign in the background. It kinda looks like corn. EDIT: I'm apparently missed the part where you wrote they were eating Elote and Esquites lol.

You know, I didn't think an obscure show like El Tigre would win, but I am so happy I suggested it and that it won. This art looks amazing! Your take on Many and Frida as teens looks amazing, this genuinely looks like a still frame from a possible future season of the show. I love Frida's little backpack and Pony tail, and Many with an undercut looks pretty handsome, and I can all but hear their dialogue just through their expressions alone. This is one of my fave works I've seen from you Kaban!

El Tigre art in the year 2024? A surprised to be sure, but a welcome one. Great art Kaban! Like others have said, you really nailed El Tigre's style, while still making it your own thing. This is just a cute, wholesome drawing, and I thank you for making it. Also, is that Goku in the background?

This art hit me in the nostalgia; El Tigre was one of my fave shows back when it was airing on Nick, and this art captures the show's style so well. I love your designs for future Many and Frida, and I love how you can tell how much they're having fun just through their expressions alone. This was really cool to see, Kaban!

Ooh, El Tigre! Haven't seen this show in a while. Like others have said, you really nailed the art style, something I'm sure couldn't have been easy, and all while adding your own visual flair to it! And I just love the designs here for Many and Frida. Those little stains on Many's face make him look cute and Frida laughing just makes me imagine the dialogue and how much fun they're having right now, perfectly comfortable with each other and their relationship. This is some really great art!
