Her body is probably in intense pain but there is most likely some form of pain suppression going on with the brood either releasing chemicals into her system that act as pain killers or some of the brood cells might have made it into her brain and are rewiring it to suppress the pain of her growth and release feelings of pleasure when Christine grows in size
