This could be an emergency protocol where the brood is still a liquid of single cells and Christine is being a high risk host either because she's incompatible or her dad's in the army and his job is to capture the alien pregnancies or the brood is at risk of rupturing her belly and needs to evacuate some or all of their number before Christine winds up dying from the brood as their still liquid
