Two guesses here. One is that her belly is mostly still containing single spores as she can move it stretch and squash it indicating it's full of a thick fluid made up of individual cells. Two is tha by the end of the story she will have alot more confidence when after watching all her recordings giving herself some confidence to say hey I carried aliens within me and now I have this cute figure. What this confidence will lead to will be most likely using alien spores to infect others for research or revenge on people who she has a grudge against.
