Was the name Bastard Squad inspired by 80s britcom The Young Ones, by any chance? There's a throwaway line in one episode about how one of the characters was looking forward to watching Bastard Squad on the telly (probably intended to evoke hard-nosed cop dramas of the time like The Sweeney etc)...
